Sorry to say I'm still unconvinced. A J-10B may be in development with some new features similar to those in these pictures, but I still don't believe you can make such drastic changes to the nose section with minimal changes to the rest of the aircraft.

If you read the F-16 DSI program, it was undertaken with minimal or no changes to the rest of the aircraft. All these changes are centered on the airflow underneath the aircraft, not above it. You will probably get even better lift.

As for the nose, they would have to sort it out with a wind tunnel. My feeling is that this nose is even more streamlined than the previous one, and has none of the boundary layer intake issues as the old one. The flatter nose also contributes to lift which improves the planes lift drag ratio.

This will surely cause need some tweaks on the FCS, and definitely the extension on the rudders and ventral fins are a consequence of this.

Thanks. I'm posting one of the pictures here. Its not identical to a previous picture already posted but very similar since its the same plane on the same situation. This time, the maintenance unit has moved up. This picture is also much sharper.

... , but here the psed changes are more clearly visible:

- the front gear + tow bar is changed
- the PL-8

....

I think this one is cleare a manipulated picture ... but the 01 is real !

Front gear is just turned around. I don't see anything special on the dummy PL-8. I think its not the same plane as 01 there, likely to be another prototype.
