Red Sea threats most significant threat since WWII: US Navy officer
A report by BBC details aspects of the daily lives of USS Dwight D Eisenhower crewmembers in their attempts to thwart the Yemeni resistance and force the re-opening of the Red Sea route, with some describing the mission as "the most since World War Two."
"This is deadly stuff," Captain Dave Wroe, who commands the four US Navy destroyers that are tasked with providing the extra protection for the carrier, told the BBC.
Captain Wroe enumerated the challenges encountered over , which include anti-ship ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned surface vessels, and newly introduced unmanned underwater vessels (UUVs), all armed with explosives.
The newest threat comes in the form of unmanned underwater vessels (UUVs), he says, claiming that the F-18 jets stationed on the carrier have successfully neutralized UUVs before they could be deployed.
"This is the most since World War Two," Wroe remarked, noting that the war marked the most significant threat faced by the US in a region since that era, where they encountered daily threats of being fired upon.

And some people say the US has more experience in naval war than China, meanwhile USN captains are saying fighting against a militia is the most challenging thing they faced since WWII. in other words the US did not have a real naval war in more than 70 years.

Canada stops arms sales to Israel: Who else has blocked weapons exports?
Canada will stop all arms shipments to Israel, Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly announced on Tuesday a day after the House of Commons passed a nonbinding motion to stop the weapons sales.
“It’s a real thing,” Joly told the Toronto Star newspaper.
Canada joins the Netherlands, Japan, Spain and Belgium in suspending arms sales in the wake of Israel’s brutal military offensive in Gaza. Many other nations have said they will no longer purchase Israeli weapons.
But several Western countries have continued to supply lethal weapons to Israel despite the enormous human toll and an imminent famine.
The United States, Israel’s closest ally, has supplied the bulk of defence equipment, including 2000-pound bunker buster bombs. A $14bn military aid package is awaiting final approval from the US Congress.

LOL I didn't even notice that. But then again I guess if the government did abide by it then that is what matters at the end. Though the vast majority of Israel's weaponry is probably supplied by the US so a weapons ban from Canada will have no military effect.

Multiple videos have come out of Israeli drones deliberately targeting civilians, including a group of children playing by a shed. Either someone is leaking them or they don't care to keep up appearances of rules of engangement at this point, and other countries have gotten sanctioned and bombed for less egregious stuff than this
