You do know laser can cause permanent eye damages, right?

Science and reason and other people’s lives don’t matter to terrorists.

I guess the more accurate way to put it is:

Reasonable and empathetic people wouldn't become terrorists in the first place.

Does anyone actually think the Religious/Hongkong/FLG terrorists can be reasoned with? They're way too far gone. A lost cause.

I do not care about White or Asian Jesus. He is a Jewese and should have Jewese complexion.

I think you mean "Jewish". There's no such word as "Jewese". Also I'm not sure you could say he had a "Jewish" complexion, because Jews that lived 2000 years ago in the Levant would have looked different from Jews living in Europe or the Americas today or even in Israel.

, and I doubt he looks anything like Jesus did.

What I dislike is what they teach at Christian School and how children are manipulated at such institution. There is no effort was spent on critical thought, only indoctrination and peer pressure during religious class.

I went to a Christian lower school, and it didn't feature in our lessons. We started the day with a prayer, and that was about it. Schools in one part of the world are very different from those elsewhere.

Sure. And knives can kill. The point was, if people are going to be let off because they didn't actually use a knife and just waved it about, why would someone be convicted for having a laser-pointer in their bag? Even the judge was confused by the different approach.

So essentially your response is it’s not representative of the whole so it’s a nonissue. Then why care about China’s national security law in HK?

Because the national security law completely changes the legal situation in Hong Kong, allowing the authorities to prosecute almost anything they don't like and even allows the CCP to remove any person to the mainland just on their own say-so. Even political candidates have been warned that they might be charged if they try to vote against the budget, despite the fact that the whole point of LegCo is to scrutinise government policy, which can include voting against bills and budgets.

You can show the terrorists all the evidence in the world and they will reject it.

Find me a person that says laser-pointers cannot be dangerous in any circumstances, and I will call them a fool. However, knives can do more than blind, they can kill. When was the last time you heard about someone being killed with a laser-pointer?

Also, it's important that this is in the context of people being prosecuted (or not) for being in possession of these legal items, not whether they should be made illegal for purchase. If it is right for a person to not be prosecuted on the basis of waiving a knife because they didn't use it but just waived it around, why is possession in a bad a worse offence?

I mean, if I lived in Hong Kong would it be ok for me to waive a knife around outside police headquarters? It would be my first offence as well.

Well I think the obvious answer is that I'd be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Sadly HK prosecutors don't seem to think that civilians should receive the same sort of consideration when knives are waived around in their faces.

My sister is married to a Christian pastor from HK. They moved to HK after he took a pastoral job in HK. At first, She had much difficulty dealing the HK congregation partly because she is more fluent in Mandarin than Cantonese. After a few years, she is saying that she had learn to adjust and the congregation are friendlier and nicer now.

As part of the adjustment though, I noticed that she became very anti-mainland Chinese. I know this because she started using many derogatory terms when talking about mainland Chinese. She could only have picked up that behavior from the church as her whole social life revolves around church activities.

The christian church in HK is part of the anti-China movement.

In the west, it is generally accepted that religion should not be mixed with politics. But, somehow it's perfectly ok in Hong Kong. Figures.

This is the leading cleric in Hong Kong who's behind all the pan-democrat activities. He can be seen often at the front line "protecting the children"!

Because it's not acceptable in the West, they try to do it in Asia under the protection of White worship.

You may notice all these white pastors with translators in Asian churches. Even in the house of god, the Asians prefer to have a white pastor with a god complex.

The first time I stayed for a service in a Chinese American church, I saw like 50 Chinese women crying at 2 white guests renewing their vows. I was terrified because I didn't know what there was to cry about, thought maybe someone died.
