Hong-Kong Protests

Hong Kong is a lost cause. For example, the HK government and the medical community prefer European and American PCR test kit even though it would cost much more(1500HKD to 3000HKD per test). On the other hand, Macao has no problem using Chinese test kit so the cost is 180HKD per test. Local HK residents are furious but the government and the medical elites refused to budge. Most of these so called elites and many HKers believe the western test kit is superior and much more reliable even though that has not been the case.

Where are Hong Kong protestors to give a vigil for this guy...?

Hong Kong's reaction to the Black Lives Matter protests, meaning no sympathy, doesn't surprise me. They're completely envious how protests were held around the world unlike theirs where if there was a protest, it was only made up of fellow Hong Kongers and other Asians that had their own anti-China agendas. And their conclusion in denial of course is China had to have been behind it in order to snuff out any attention to their protests. The world doesn't love you Hong Kong. Your only support comes from people in other countries that have their own anti-China agendas not because they care about you. Hong Kongers don't see the irony where they're not sympathetic to BLM protests while crying for the US to send troops to fight China where the US will be dependent on African-Americans in those communities to fight in their army. And just like someone who doesn't understand democracy, they need not to worry because the US government will force them to fight for them.

There's a disturbingly noticeable amount of various localists who think that living in a place once British ruled makes them honorary Aryans.

Yes I'm not surprised because that's what is common among the inferiority-complex Asians is the first thing they claim is they're white. I'll debate trolling Japanese, South Koreans, Vietnamese, Taiwanese about geopolitics in comments sections and they're like ravenous nationalists and then in the middle of the debate all of the sudden I'll just reply, "You know you ain't white...?" And then conversation completely shifts to them trying to prove how white they are. And that's how the discussion usually ends because it's pretty stupid to argue that they're white when they know they're not.

You attacked the police and do not feel unreasonable. Are you kidding me? Not to mention joining 721 activities. No wonder your father sees you as a failure. He probably still remember when the British had control and how they treated him like a second-tier citizen. My father teaches me a lot but one of the most important lessons he has taught me is traveling is one of the best ways to gain experience in life. Having been born in China then went to HK and lived in the US for over 15 years, this speaks true especially today.

Actually, I can understand what he means. He feels his actions are justified in his “fight for freedom”. He genuinely believes the police are so brutal and the “CCP regime is crushing HK freedom”.

Unfortunately for him, he has yet to realize the truth of his actions. He is not Mandela, he is not living in some Bantustan. Just a pawn in a political game. CCP didn’t make him homeless. Ironically, he got the freedom he craves in a way.

Following on to that video of Tsai.

It is interesting to see that Taiwan is willing to provide welfare to the protesters/rioters. If it is anything like the way North Koreans are treated in South Korea, then good luck to them. I have read many articles on how they are seen as unsophisticated freeloaders who are relegated to the margins of society. Since many of the HK rioters hate Mandarin, they will struggle the same way in Taiwan.

Korean-Chinese (Joseonjok) also suffer similar discrimination in South Korea. From what I’ve read, the ironic outcome of this is that it actually strengthened their Chinese identity. Since the economy in China has grown so much in the past 20 years, there is no longer a desire to go to South Korea where they aren’t welcome. Even working for South Korean companies isn’t particularly desirable since the ability to be promoted is limited.

However, it is just a symbolic gesture anyway. Taiwan’s wages are awful. I read somewhere that they lose something like nearly 50% of college grads to China, and 80% of grad students that study outside of Taiwan never return. Really just insane numbers.

Yes, I'm sure people standing around and chanting slogans are a real threat to Chinese security.

Punks like this kid don't take on the protesters with home-made equipment who are fighting with the police. They pick on unarmed citizens who aren't a threat. It's almost certainly going to be similar to Tony Chun , where the guy took a meat clever to one of the Lennon Walls and decided to attack anyone he saw there and didn't like the look of. None of his victims was a threat to anyone.

If you want to know why there is criticism of people who slavishly follow the CCP's line over Hong Kong, it's comments like yours that automatically defend anyone who commits violence against opponents of the CCP irrespective of the situation.

Well-said.
This is one of the main reasons why I left this forum.
The Umbrella Movement in 2014 was peaceful and the members here called the occupiers rioters and hooligans, even when they barely did anything violent. Teens were attacked by triads and the bigots here would keep mocking them. The bigots here never even bothered, attempted to listen or put themselves in others' shoes. It's always calling people "inferiority complex", "superior complex", colonialism, all that bullshit. They ignored every bit and everything others had to say. I genuinely felt sorry for the members here who have to resort to using these projections and thinking on youths rather than listen what others have to say. Shows how cruel, disgusting, narrow-minded the members here. Made me realize how fucking toxic this community is. If you entrust the future of youths to the bunch here, the youths would be in quite a miserable place.

I even remembered a heated debate with one of the members. He started criticizing my family. I reported him to the mods and it took forever to barely land a real warning. Shows the bias and preferential treatment.

As if that's not enough, I even remember someone was asking a question about North Korea really is like, then someone here replied here and claimed that North Korea isn't that bad, then dismissed everything else as just simply the West and their reporting. When I saw this, I know for good this forum is beyond redemption and basically just a place to mislead and push communist narratives. Just a bunch of brainwashed commies sympathizers. This was when I decided to leave this forum for good.

The echoing chamber here always revolve around the same regular bunch who made all their claims about the entire world outside with a few selective news and sources, whereas everything else would be considered Western propaganda and all that bullshit. It's amazing how this forum community of a few regular bunch can somehow have the entire world and the entire HK protest figured out, without accepting the many voices and people out there. (Not to mention most of them here aren't even from Hk, visited HK as of late.)

Now look at all the hate-fueled comments here calling for crackdown and suppression on human rights. Everything from complaining about foreign judges (obviously this idiot has no understanding of the Common Law system) to removing liberal education. Fucking sickening. It goes to show I'm completely right about the bigots here. They haven't changed, and only doubled down on their pro-CCP agendas. This is not to mention how supportive they are of practically most of CCP's aggressive, bullying acts. Violating international law on SCS, kidnapping hostages to force the return of Meng, crackdown on Hong Kong, ambushing Indian troops with spiked clubs at the border, crackdown on human rights in China on all fronts, list goes on. I used to support China because it really was practicing the Peaceful Rise in the previous decade, but Xi's China had completely left that behind and essentially changed it to a semi-fascist rogue state. However the blind brainwashed supporters here will never acknowledge that. They will continue to cheer the Chicoms on for practically every decision they make with their own deluded thoughts and accusing others of everything(always Western propaganda, always superiority/inferiority complex, always colonialism).

Anyways the bigots here can reply and say whatever they want, but I'm not interested in entertaining any of 'em further.

Also Mr. T, you're exactly right. There are actually plenty of vicious attacks, human rights violations from the police, assaults from pro-gov't bunch, and the brainwashed tools here will ignore all of it.

Tsk tsk, such a long whiny message with no substance at all, basically just a collection and amalgamation of what you wish to be true concocted in the form of one attempted hit-and-run post LOL. If you had the confidence to debate your point of view, you would have replied to a opposite opinion with evidence or logic for why it is wrong instead of finding the 1 person who you feel agrees with you to try to find an arm to cry/complain/whine on. How ironic, that you wanted to post this one off rant, not "entertaining" replies (obviously because you know you cannot defend your position when scrutinized), which shows that you are actually the one who is narrow-minded and unable to listen to an opposing view. Our door is always open to discussion but your mind is shut by your own media propaganda, which lowers the bar and gets funnier by the day under Trump...

I do not think there is a desire to debate or listen. airsuperiority was previously here soliciting support for Joshua Wong and umbrella movement and grew increasingly frustrated when he cannot find support and sympathy. That is when airsuperiority threaten to leave.
