I really hope Taiwanese people look at the mess in Ukraine and say "You know what, the status quo doesn't seem so bad" and not let themselves be made a pawn in a game with players much bigger than them. There is a uncanny similarity on how the U.S used Ukraine as pawn to mess with Russia since 2014 and how they are using Taiwan as a pawn to mess with China now.

I tried searching the source for the tweet above:

Taiwan Will Treat China Flights Into Airspace as ‘First Strike’

Defense Minister Chiu Kuo-cheng told lawmakers in Taipei that the ministry was taking such incursions more seriously after a recent spate of closer flights by Chinese warplanes and drones. Pressed on whether any warplane’s violation of Taiwan’s airspace would be viewed as a first strike, Chiu said, “Yes,” without elaborating what the response would be.
And then there's this part:
“In the past, we said we won’t be the first to strike, which meant we won’t do it without them firing artillery shells or missiles, et cetera, first,” Chiu said Wednesday. “But now the definition has obviously changed, as China used means like drones. So we have adjusted, and will view any crossing of aircraft or vessels as a first strike.
Right, so anyone who's currently in China wanna "first strike" Taiwan by flying a drone over there lol?

That's a fr1ck1ng great bargain for a "first strike" by China on Taiwan. No bullets needed, no bombs needed, no missiles needed - just some hobbyist drones from Aliexpress, Taobao or Amazon.

That means, if China wants to act on it, sending hobbyist drones to overfly the outlying Kinmen and Matsu Islands should do the trick. If they want to go further, they could have some remote-controlled fishing boats to sail just outside of the 12 nautical mile-zone of Taiwan, launch these hobbyist drones from these boats and have them fly over Taiwan.

Psst: Maybe those hobbyist drones could airdrop some instant noodles, pickled vegetables and poached eggs over Taiwan during the flyovers too. That would count as a perfect "first strike" in my book.

If Russia had to remove Nazi remnants from the formerly occupied land of Ukraine, then it may soon be time to remove imperial Japanese remnants from the formerly occupied land of Taiwan.

There is nothing preventing them from ignoring existing flyovers.

I haven't looked in the surveys in recent times, but usually the majority is in support of the status quo. The danger is the radical factions actually believing that the US and Japan will defend a declaration of independence and drag the island into a war.

If Russia had to remove Nazi remnants from the formerly occupied land of Ukraine, then it may soon be time to remove imperial Japanese remnants from the formerly occupied land of Taiwan.
These are kind of neo-Japanese wannabes. The KMT martial law era almost crushed these elements into dust. For the most part they had succeeded, but then they made the mistake of appointing Lee Dog Hui as the successor to CCK. After his appointment, all the Japanese wannabes came out the woodwork and now you have these morons on the internet going as far as claiming they are Dutch/Japanese.
