What westoids fail to realize is that ethic minorities like Tibetans and Uyghurs are generally more patriotic than Han Chinese due to decades of favorable policies.

When China annexes US in the future, the PLA should send in hordes of Uyghurs on horseback to raze and massacre civilians in conquered American cities. Imagine a 300lb neolib ameritard with the testosterone levels of a castrated platypus getting decapitated by a Uyghur, Genghis Khan style.

What I would give to witness such a glorious sight.
Even more Ironic is that they claim Mongols are opressed yet Mongols are the third largest ethnic group in the PLA.

Quite the change in tone, hardcore secessionist must be furious.

Suppose what I guessed here is true, this would be just another further step of that. At this point if CPC wants to tango like Second Taiwan Strait Crisis and that "artillery duel but only on odd days" then we would expect sometime fairly soon they will say "although she did not mention 92 Consensus, we recognize the positive tone from Taiwan authority and are willing to work with them towards peaceful reunification."

And then Tsai will take that and go to the Americans and go "see they said peaceful reunification, war is cancelled, there's no longer a need to move TSMC to US."

Let's see if it plays out that way.

The message is positive but I would rather pay more attention to their actions:
  • In Double Tenth Day speech, Taiwanese president also pledges to increase mass production of precision missiles and boost asymmetric warfare strength

TSMC is probably used to that, since even on good day there's a decent chance for power to go out due to "small animals".

But anyway what happens to TSMC is of interest to her but not very important to CPC. What's important is that if she's able to buy more time then I think CPC will play along with her.

Doesn't TSMC have major fabs in Shanghai, Nanjing and Shenzhen anyways? In the event of US aggression, China would offer a deal they can't refuse, reshore everything to the mainland facilities, stop all sales to anyone who does business with USA. Beijing can presumably generously compensate them for the sudden changes.

And any rogue elements of the company suspected of sending equipment or products to USA will be treated as military target.

TSMC does have importance because it represents a huge part of US semiconductor imports. While China doesn't need the company to function, US does.

It is, in other words, basically the Eastern equivalent of Nord Stream. And by shutting down the pipeline, US will be deprived from vital parts needed to power their electronics industry. Beijing should in the first place try to turn the screw shut on the pipeline, but if something causes that to not work, it should blow up the pipeline so nothing can make it to America.

Only in Nanjing, the American didn't approve their FAB investment plan in Shenzhen together with their expansion in Nanjing.

Tsai realizing now that tension is now used as justification for decoupling by West/East from Taiwan.
The executives said it would be hard to wean the world off its reliance on Taiwan’s hi-tech chips quickly but geopolitical challenges confronting the industry are increasing.
“Everyone is currently talking about business continuity plans,” said Terry Tsao, president of the SEMI Taiwan industry group. “A small portion of companies have only started to make these plans recently. From what I’ve heard, most are foreign companies.”

I don't think she's that smart. She's probably just observing that China has used Pelosi's trip to create a new norm of frequent military activity around Taiwan and she wants to go back to pre-Pelosi times. Semiconductor shit, she's not going to get but "now more PLAAF sorties than before, want to go back to before," that's still probably within her ability to comprehend.
