My personal view is that if there is no point of interception if they can’t prevent Pelosi’s plane from landing. If her plane lands despite military action from the PRC side it would be a major propaganda boon.
In what world would the PLAAF be not able to intercept a passenger plane?

If air force are incapable of preventing Pelosi from landing in Taiwan Americans deserve the propaganda victory.

Since both the White House and the Pentagon say that they are against this visit and there is no real political or diplomatic initiative behind the visit. Good sense will dictate to cancel the visit but then again good sense in America today is hard to come by.

They ignore warning and keep going. My point is that if that could happen, either shoot them down or don’t intercept in the first place. No in between.

There are a lot of vague terms in your rant here. What exactly is "clarity" and "forcefulness"? What exactly does the government "taking action" entail? Define these terms precisely.

It's all well and good to jeer from the peanut gallery, but what specifically would you do if you were in Xi's position and what preparations have you in place to deal with the repercussions?
That's a valid ask to make, but let me turn around the question to you since you're one of the strongest proponent of the statusquo of not doing anything close to armed reunification until China has all the necessary equipment, tools necessary for global curbstomping as you declared in your prior posts.

If you're in Xi's position how do you exactly square your perceived inaction with your desire to seek/stay for a 3rd term? I have read from various sources inside and outside of China that one of the alleged reasons for him seeking a 3rd term is to deal with the Taiwan issue so as not to pass on that mantle of responsibility/burden to the next generation of leadership.

Isn't that a fair question and critique to make because as great and as competent Pres.Xi is, he's not omniscient and least of all infallible. He is after all just as human as anybody else, albeit with extraordinary skillets above the rest.

There is an enormous spectrum of in-between options. It’s not a binary choice of go up guns blazing or don’t bother showing up at all.

The point is that the PLAAF must be ready and willing to go as far as shooting her plane down, but that doesn’t and won’t be the opening move. I think it will be a steadily escalating series of escalating threats and actions before things get that far, with plenty of opportunities for her plane to avoid being shot down by turning around. However, I think if her plane does not turn around past a certain point despite all the escalations, then it will be shot down.

That will guarantee she gets shot down because there is no way China will permit armed foreign fighters to enter Chinese sovereign airspace without authorisation.
The other option is to strike the airport.... if her plane cannot land it will have no choice but to turn around....unless she likes skydiving
