I think China just need to focus on growing the economy to the point of surpassing us nominal gdp and in the meantime strengthen her nuclear forces so no warmongers in washington will even think of trying to nuclear blackmail China (many in the us think that they still have nuclear card to play against China)

Focus on growth yes, but imho nominal gdp is arbitrary and artificial benchmark...

China needs a good 3000 to 5000 nukes, for sure. 10000 would make me sleep better at night

Why would you need to ship in fake ballots from North Korea? It's a dog whistle because their target audience wants to believe they're victims of foreign conspiracies therefore it justifies their racist beliefs. They want to believe people will go through great lengths just to get'em.

Had Bush not done 911 and remained focus on containing China after that figther jet spy plane incident, US would have easily contained China... in essence they got too greedy and wanted to have cake (Middle East) and eat it (China) too but in the end might end up with nothing and in the scrap pile of history
Have you read this post? PLA Strategist: The U.S. Uses Its Dollar to Dominate the World

American leadership isn't stupid, everything is done for a reason. Although I think they did react to the short-term event instead of the long-term strategic threat. Lot easier to campaign terrorist attacks then some nebulous economics threat coming in 20-30 years...

Im aware Iraq was all about finishing what the first Bush started but couldnt finish. Bush was CIA director and before that ambassador in China... Dick Cheney was his secDef in the first Gulf War and also CEO of Halliburton oil, and Cheney as VP was calling the shots during the Shrub administration in fact on 911 they had little Bushy reading a book held upside down to elementary school kids far away in Florida...

Iraq 2003 was all about overthrowing Saddam and getting Iraq back on dollar standard...

All Im saying is had America had the Long Term view, it should have started the decouple and containmemt of China 20 years ago and not get sidetracked in Middle East

America was planning to contain China in the early 2000s, but 9/11 sidetracked them. That gave China breathing space for quite a few years. It was a godsend.

And America got itself stuck in two wars, siphoning off a lot of money.

UK destroyed the goverment of Persia (1953)

The persian people revolt against the puppet dictator lacay of the West Empire (1979)

The West Empire outsources imperial terror and charges Saddam Hussein to beat up the Persians for their disobedience (1980-1988) By the way Saddam sends a lot of his own population to hell

Saddam Hussein, darling of The West Empire and subcontractor of imperial terror thinks he is important and thinks he can be like their lords and gets into trouble because he begins to think on his own

the Likud calls for the destruction of Iraq

and USA unleash Chaos and Terror to destroy Iraq ... because (1) the Likud and the Likudnists of Washington want it that way and because (2) The West Empire at that time (2000-) has run out of geographic place (Saudi Arabia and Persia) to annoy the Russians

1 + 2 = Iraq_2003

Not for lack of trying; the Pivot to Asia was an attempt to really try and contain china but China ended up calling their bluff and now the rest of ASEAN doesn't bother with the SCS and as Duterte pointed out, refuse to be sacrificial lambs for american policymakers.

Yeah, I'm agreeing with you. Just pointing out that elections every 4 years rewards short-term reactions over long-term strategic planning.
