Bernie Sanders and AOC's brand of socialism might work in a small state like New Hampshire, but adopting it nationwide will see the country become bankrupt. AOC's knowledge of history is laughably delusional and deficient, nor does she have the verbal or intellectual skills to debate her cause outside of playing the woke card. This is evident whenever she gets challenged out in public or on camera, and she becomes immediately flustered. Her "socialism or death" narrative is intrinsically appealing to the younger generation, but experience and wisdom would say these ideas are highly impractical. With America being known as the "land of opportunity", I'm not sure how I'd feel if everyone is given the benefits and rewards without having to put in hard work. To sum it up - AOC is a pretty face, but I'm not sure there's not much brains to her. Just my two cents anyway.

I'd much rather see someone like Tulsi Gabbard lead the Democrats. Too bad she isn't woke or liberal enough for the party to rally behind her. Not that it matters anyway, I'm not American thank goodness.

It will bankrupt US because US lets Trillion dollar companies like Amazon pay $0 in federal taxes. The tax loophole is created so the ultra-wealthy corporations pay little to zero in taxes. I guess it makes it easier for politicians to focus on debt/deficit, so they can pretend that Medicare for all is unaffordable (when all major developed industrialized nation has it), when tax revenues is low by design from onset. A design feature, not a bug.

I work in the US medical device reimbursement industry, it's mind-boggling how unnecessarily complex and bloated US healthcare reimbursement is... It's almost like it's designed to be complicated to minimize transparency and as a way to create jobs. Great for me, but bad for the American people in the long run.

.... Meanwhile Bernie earns $5 million in book deal sales and royalties, owns three houses, and has a net worth of over $2 million? Either way I fear you're oversimplifying things my friend.

I'm not denying the US tax code is seriously flawed. But with that said America is renowned as the place of opportunity where ambitious dreamers work hard to create companies that eventually become so profitable and powerful that someone like Warren and Bernie comes along seeking to break them up. Increasing taxes to the levels proposed by Warren will kill off innovation, investment, and slow down the growth of the American economy - an economy that is already seriously debt ridden. I mean what's the point of working hard if I don't make 'mad-dollar' on my hard work, and all my money goes to the government in the form of taxes and redistributed to someone else that didn't work as hard as I did?

The problem America faces is one of overconsumption - and China has absolutely capitalized on America's habits of overconsumption since Nixon's time.

Unless you're claiming Sanders doesn't pay enough taxes, I don't see how that's relevant.
1. $2M isn't really a lot of money. Most successful, lucky guys can get to get to that easily by the time they turn 50.

2. America is the land of opportunity due to its fortuitous geographic isolation and the wind fall from WW2. When the economy contracts irreversibly, so will the opportunities. One of the greatest fallacies of American politics and cultures is that we've mistaken correlation with causation. Our exceptionalism is based on our economic prosperity, but our prosperity is not necessarily induced by our exceptionalism.

Not that I support Sanders. However, when you spent 18% of your GDP on healthcare but many Americans still can't afford healthcare and were forced to file bankruptcy due to healthcare. You got to admit that you have a serious problem especially when most other advanced countries can provide universal healthcare at 9-10% GDP. The true reason why Republicans are so against Affordable Healthcare is the fact that it is Obama's legacy and they are afraid it would become as popular as Medicare and Medicaid in the long run.

Arizona has been formally called for, and now Georgia is projected for Biden. I don't believe any recount should happen as it will be just a waste of time. Biden is now up for 306 electoral votes.

This feels awfully strange. Trump tweeted comments from Cruz. The man he hated and in particular his "ugly" wife. The man with no principle, coming out to defend Trump after he insulted his wife and father.

Latinos are very much a self-hating group, most of them are refugees. what a refugee hates most is another refugee. after all the bashing trashing from Trump, they voted for him.

So Biden now has 306 electoral votes (FINAL).

Trump ALSO had 306 electoral votes in 2016 after he defeated Hillary...

Trump in 2016 said "306" electoral votes is a "LANDSLIDE" victory against Hillary.

Democrats "actually got their a** kicked" in 2016, Trump said at a July 2018 rally in Great Falls, Montana. "306 to 223, that's a pretty good shellacking."

So Trump got his ass-kicked, according to Trump's own standard. and Biden won the popular vote (+5%) by a larger margin than Hillary in 2016. Double ass-kicked. It isn't even close!
