It seemed to work against Pompeo...;)

I wonder if Kurt Campbell is capable of realizing that he lead the US down this road when he was a part of the Obama adminstration claiming China would back down by the tactic of isolation and exclusion believing China would surrender just because they were left out.
During the last two decades, I have yet to hear any American political leader suggest they have got their China policy wrong. In fact, despite setbacks they have being trying to undermine China from the day Mao declared the founding of the PRC.

@ansy1968 have you read this guy's latest propaganda piece on F.P. if you don't mind reading the article and let me know what you think of it.
On second note: I read the piece of s..t article and the author said so many things without saying absolutely nothing new at the same time. Talked about Duterte being essentially an anti-American dunce that clouded his judgment on the Philippines-U.S. slave to master relationship which one of the sole reasons why he violently and purposely went to China's direction to gain financial support for his infrastructure projects even though most of the Philippine public sees abd views China as the main geopolitical threat for the country.

But thankfully, because of the Philippines constitution imposition on it's Presidential term limit, Duterte is essentially a dead man walking despite his high approval ratings from the public. There is nothing more he can do to change the most eagerly anticipated return of Daddy U.S.A. to his on and off again lover, the pearl of the oligarchs, the Philippines. Lol

I still firmly believe that Locsin is a loose cannon; an undisciplined, uncouthed person especially for a diplomat of his standing and stature. It's one thing to be passionate and have passion for the job and love of one's country; it's quite another to show the world how imbecilic he was with respect to his Twitter outburst, not to mention his child like rationale and musings.

@Bellum_Romanum Bro can't open the article and never heard of him, but from what he tweet he had a point, the next President will be under pressure from the US to have a new bullet proof (improved and sanction proof) VFA signed. Duterte had find a loophole and the next President should hold on to it as a bargaining tool, I hope it will be an issue this coming election, people should know their platform instead of being entertain by dancing and singing politician.

And a side note, the political elites will want to deplatform Duterte when he retires, he still hold a lot of political influence and a lot of political power. They had seen the effectiveness in silencing Trump. I think the US is leading the charge and laying the ground works here for that possibility. But it will be a big struggle, Duterte had revoke ABS CBN franchised but the 2 remaining TV networks are still owned by the Oligarchs. The good thing about the process of revoking ABS CBN franchised is the growth of Vloggers and rise of independent media outlet. People don't trust MSM and the US hope is to find a popular Pro American candidate to win the elections.
