Wow, based on some media's logic, that is dictatorship!.There are no term limits for Indian prime minister.

I doubt it. To Indians perception is everything. That's why they'd rather spend billions on space programmes, military equipment while a big portion of their population is living in worse conditions than Africa.Would Congress do any better?
It comes down to the elite rulers and government leaders. Their selfishness and incompetence had led India to this point, just like in America, but America has the money and control media narrative to cover and make up.My friend, as bad as Modi is, the Indian Trump is really no worse than the future Indian Biden. He is just a face of Indian capitalist ruling class, who doesn't give a dame about their masses.
It is not Modi who has failed India, but the capitalist system, especially when applied to a technologically backward and populous nation like India, under the yoke of global imperialist system. I would not be surprised that the same tragedy may happen down the road in Indonesia, Philippines, etc...
Even Brazil, a much richer large capitalist "developing" country, is not able to escape the disaster. Hell, even the top imperialist empire U.S.A wasn't able to.

The ventilators are Made in India, funded by Indian government.
I don't understand why they try to manufacture medical equipment at a crisis time.
Lifting a comment straight from reddit -
not the first time. ventilator issues were flagged by the government's own committee when PM CARES Funded ventilators failed trials. This is what happens when your make in India is so important that you give contracts to cmpanies who have literally never manufactured them before, and start making their fucking prototypes only after receiving the actual order itself.
Complaints about faulty ventilators funded by PM CARES have been coming from all over the country for weeks now.
Go to r/India. I'm lifting from there.Could you provide the Reddit discussion link?
Thx.
Like this so called human rights watcher?Exactly...where all the western human rights watchers at on this? This is far worse than their pretentious crying and screaming "genocide in Xinjiang".
