Do we know why many of China's SOE's like CSSC and AVIC were split up and then remerged in the recent past?

CSSC was never split up. Instead it was the money losing CSIC, which had its top officers arrested for corruption and espionage, that was 'merged' into CSSC. CSSC appears to be a very successful SOE while CSIC is a classic failed SOE. With CSSC becoming the state champion, CSIC is absorbed by default into CSSC in a winner take all fashion although formally it was announced they were 'merged'.

Two more CSOVs ordered. These vessels are intended for the installation and support of off shore wind turbines.

Two electric feeders ordered that will serve the Yangtze. They will deliver containers from Wuhan to Shanghai. At 700 TEU they are by far the largest EV feeder ships yet made.

I wonder about the potential of even larger electric feeders that can serve the East and South China Seas, serving between the ports of China and the ASEAN.
