If those tires are run-flat, they are expensive and have shorter service life than standard tires.

This is not a good look for Chinese tanks at all. this is the 2nd one, the first one is understandable but now that this the 2nd one I expect it’s something with the quality of the tank what is not good
Look up M1 Abrams TUSK armour or Leo2A6 CAN armour, common to use slat armour to defeat HEAT RPGs.
The bamboo logs are cheap and ugly, but they are widely used.
