This is key for the American economy. Government led investment in infrastructure and domestic workers.

If sustained, and if successful it will erase the entire Trump movement as blue color workers get good paying union jobs in building infrastructure, 5G, charging stations, etc etc....

American political system is flexible, and probably realizes that this is what’s needed to prevent Trumpism from taking hold.
It is good for America and is sorely needed, but it will almost have no impact on Trumpism. Trumpism is much more of a social issue and to sum up a very complex phenomenon, it's largely in part due to White and/or conservative Americans feeling under attack. American media and upper class society is focusing a lot on racial/gender equality/other left wing social ideology and many lower class Americans feel attacked over this because they feel that it is out of touch with their issues. While building infrastructure does actually help them, it's difficult for a few thousand jobs to overcome the emotional appeal of Trumpism.

The American political system is the opposite of flexible. Whether you support the CCP or not I think it's widely accepted that China is able to pivot policy at a much faster and fluid pace than Democracies. To get something drastic done, unless it has bi-partisan support which is rare, it is a bloody battle to get something passed in congress. Even tougher is the slow momentum of public opinion. If somehow the American policymakers changes opinion overnight and wanted to start partnering with China, due to the many years of Anti-China conditioning, it will take a considerable amount of time before any significant policy shift can occur because Pro-China sentiment right now in the US is political suicide.

Infrastructure investment only works when it is needed. Idk US can gain much from it. It's like that Cali high speed rail which costs $100 billion for like a few hundred miles.

Biden is talking about a historical infrastructure bill to the tune of $2 trillion. It will go towards both old infrastructure and new ones like 5G and EV charging stations.

This will help prevent fracturing of the political system as blue color workers will get good paying unionized jobs.

This prevents Trumpism or whatever you want to call it from taking hold. Trumpism started because a huge portion of the working class did not benefit from globalization. Factories were offshores to Asia. Creating good jobs. Putting people to work solves this. The political elites knows this. And this infrastructure plan address that issue.

US has enough spending/cash lying around. They need to tax the rich and cut unnecessary government spending.

Republicans will tone that done significantly (my prediction is at least by half, if not more) to keep taxes low and redirect billions more to corporate donors.

Just one point to add.

The studies show that automation and technology had a bigger impact on working class jobs than globalisation.

"He warned that China is well-positioned to outcompete Russia in these markets, since unlike Moscow, Beijing can bundle arms deals together with lucrative economic agreements."

"There is no real reason for those countries to go with the Russians if they can get something similar or better from the Chinese," Wezeman said. "In a way the Chinese probably have more to offer, not only in terms of the weapons, but also all kinds of other arrangements."

Since China is KSA's biggest oil buyer and overall trading partner, could it be possible for China to request if they can make their payments for Saudi goods in Yuan instead of USD? I think such a move will serve as a catalyst for other oil exporting nations to switch to Yuan payments and help China make its currency a universal alternative to USD in global trade.

unlikely .... if it is the case, suddenly there would be a lot of explosions in SA and the monarchy would get toppled with another Arab spring 2

I believe this has already happened "under the table" so to say.
