In other words anything where the US is not in control of it, it's a threat. Yes the US is afraid China can track money... in China... because then we'll all know where the US in funneling money to people and groups working to undermine China. That's what they're talking about how China will force other countries into using its system. If they want to get money to people and groups in China to help undermine China, they'll have to use China's digital currency system to get it to them aka no privacy.
just a quick Q; how does one go about getting some digital RMB?

We are slowly see the direction this is going. Narrative pre setting, subtle propaganda started to discredit the DCEP ; oh digital surveillance, an attempt to subvert and weaken USD role etc etc. Then ban on players to use DCEP during Winter Olympics, or even possibly outright boycott. Then coercion against nations that want to using DCEP, oh using that is not aligned with universal values etc..

EU must be severely deluded to think China would lift sanctions to salvage a one sided deal . This deal was China doing them a favor not the other way around.
Ah, we expect China to obediently accept sanctions and labeling of genocide yet signed us the investment deals for our economic benefit.

Yes, it is much better that the US can continue to snoop at all the money transactions which use SWIFT right?
