Actually there is no difference when you pay via apps(Alipay, Wechat etc) or via eCNY from customer point of view. You pay same amount. The difference is on the merchant side.
All those payment apps are middlemen and will take a bite of the payment. The eCNY eliminate this third party settlement. Therefore saving settlement expenses for the merchants from those APPs.

I think one of the major purpose of this eCNY is domestic - to dilute the financial clout of Alipay and Wechat pay. The longterm vision for this should be to eliminate all those APPs based payments. These app based payments are ones responsible collecting massive amounts of data and making a unimaginable sums of settlement money. They rival state power.

Nah, Alipay and Wechat are already clearing their payment through a state managed system. eCNY is just the currency, Alipay and WeChat are actual appointed distributors, they are not competitors.

China just buys huge amounts of agricultural products from the US, then boycott Australia agriculture and also Canada for its Huawei executive situation.

The Amur Gas Processing Plant is basically a facility the Russians are building to process the natural gas which runs across the Power of Siberia pipeline. It separates the other gasses from the methane, those gasses are more valuable than the methane, so they can be bottled up and resold for higher prices increasing the economic value of the project. This also includes Helium gas, which is a resource which has been having huge price increases and like the video says has multiple industrial uses like cooling the superconducting magnets in MRI medical scanners, or to pressurize the propellant tanks in space launch vehicles. There is an increasing global need for this resource.

Otherwise this precious resource would simply be carried with the methane and burned together with it being lost to the atmosphere.

Hydrogen or helium? Both are byproducts of natural gas. But helium is not combustible, so can't be used to run trucks. It is however for useful as a industrial ingredient.

Why did China financed this? shouldn't it be better to have these strategic energy sources produced at home?

Yes I know that gas is plenty in Russia and low in China but it still rubs me in the wrong way

Anyway, at least this will draw Russia further into China's orbit. What can I say, you lose some, you win some
