I don't know where to put this, but since it affects Huawei and therefore the Chinese economy. I guess here it is a good place.

Great take on the continuing saga of Huawei. It's been nearly two years. Imagine if this was the other way round? The poster suggest a good reason why US choose to arrest Meng in Canada. It wanted to drag it out so as to give time for the trade war to end. Thus then she can be released. Otherwise if it was any sooner. It wouldn't give time for negotiations to conclude.

Canada works fast when they are being America’s b*tch

The British government, for one, has no idea what they are doing by being U.S.' bitch and banning Huawei:
Jack Ma's Ant Group IPO attracts demand equal to Britain's economy

The biggest initial public offering (IPO) of all time has unleashed an investor frenzy for the record books.
Jack Ma’s Ant Group attracted at least $3 trillion, or about equal to the UK’s gross domestic product last year, of orders from individual investors for its dual listing in Hong Kong and Shanghai, enough money to buy JPMorgan Chase & Co 10 times over.
...
Whether Ant surges or not, the Chinese fintech behemoth’s $35 billion-plus IPO represents a major vote of confidence in a company that could end up shaping the future of global finance. It also underscores China’s ability to marshal huge amounts of capital without tapping American markets, a win for Beijing as it tries to reduce its vulnerability to the threat of US financial sanctions.

True... the British were in the prefect position to play multiple sides against the middle... Brexit would have allow them amend things become the central hub and bridge for the US, EU, Russia and China... hell it could have become relevant again... they just had to not be so stuck up... but well... too late now... at least it would take a sh*t ton more work now...

They know exactly what they're doing.

It's just like those school kids that pick on the Asian kid for being smart and Asian. Pure racism, primitive behavior.

Yeah, 200,000 dead and counting and some guy squeaks about how he still prefers USA because it has rights whereas Chinese have no rights. I'd take my right to live and not die from COVID thank you very much.
Maybe this century is going to be the century where these sort of people will end up losing everything and also paying for all those horrible things they have done in the past few centuries against the Chinese people. Note that the USA/UK put China through decades of suffering and humiliation and now it turns out that it is their turn to feel the pain this time, only that unlike the usa/UK and there way of going out of there way to cause harm, China doesn’t need to do much to make the them suffer.

If you'll notice, the Anglosphere tends to want to monopolise the world's food production, hence why during the 90s, US free trade policies were designed around the WTO and IMF to destroy native countries' domestic agricultural sector and to import US corn, grain produce etc. They have it in their minds that if they are the ones with the power to decide food prices in other nations, they can control those nations not unlike what the petrodollar is supposed to achieve.
