Why is @gadgetcool5 such a beta? The Indians have nursed their countless failures for many generations, and it is only by demolishing the Indian state that they can move past this. Appeasement for a conflict that they started is a fools errand.

Obviously, China wants to focus on America right now, but sooner or later the illusion of Indian strength should be exposed for all to see.

some wise man says that common people base their perceptions on reality, but the Indians seem to base the reality on their perceptions.
so Indians have an uncanny knack of turning actual defeat into perceived victory.
let them bury their heads in the sand, but it is clear to all on Earth that in all parameters China has surpassed India in every possible human development milestones and financial prosperity. Take for examples:
infant mortality rate,
life expectancy,
literacy rate,
nutritional status of the populace,
sex equality,
social equality and cohesiveness,
complete range of industrialization, from light industry to heavy industry and high tech electronics., 5G etc
GDP 6x, and gap widening more and more,
infrastructure development including high speed railway system,
indigenous and self sustaining industrial military complex, including go-it-alone space explorations,
stable political system and effective governance that delivers, such as the COVID pandemic control and mass vaccination program,
Grand visionary schemes like the BRI, RCEP, and BIT with Europe.
Indians should raise their heads from the sand and see the grim reality facing their country, and STOP DREAMING about super power status.
start co-operating with China instead of provoking / antagonizing your much more powerful neighbour, and don't you wish you can depend on the West to bail you out of the sh-thole you are in, cause they won't lift a finger to help you, you are just pawns in their game.

Indians are too smart, they are all philosophers. Philosophers don't need meaningless reality! Philosophers don't need wealth and social development! Philosophers are not materialistic! They are spiritual! They eat dirt and drink cow urine, but they are enlightened!
Don't you mere foolish mortals ever dare to laugh at great India, the philosophers' nation!

these great Indian philosophers are living in their fantasy dream-land of superpower and glory, may they never wake up from their state of yoga meditation stupor!
We Chinese would like to enable Asia to prosper together, India included, but it is difficult to drag an unwilling cow up a tree unilaterally.
I consider China's goodwill towards India a waste of energy and efforts, as most Indians consider China to be their biggest enemy.
China should leave India alone to wallow in their own quagmire, as any hands extended to help or feed them will get bitten hard.
very sad, but that is the grim reality in the present or future Sino-Indian relationship.

In a Post Peak Oil world, one in which climate disasters will get worse, and all the low hanging fruit of easy resource extraction/refinement are gone, the rate limiting factor of global growth and productivity is no longer human labor, manpower, brains, talent etc.... We are reaching or have passed peak resource .... Its more and more people fighting for ever shrinking zerosum pie... fusion is still 4 decades away if ever, we are running out of time to utilize a new energy source. We have never left the oil age, everything even renewables still depend on oil infrastructure.

In this grand scheme of things, having a friendly and propserous India is NOT good for China nor the world... Look at India population, its demographics, its juxaposition to China border. Its in China's benefit to keep perpetual controlled conflict so India is always poor.. and if it has to seem like its losing a propaganda infowar to India in the short term to achieve a long term objective then so be it. In short its a good thing India joined Quad and not RCEP

Those bickering about this finger or that finger are not touching the whole elephant

Oh yeah. philosophers ? look at the lower castes and the poor that are there, created by the British lord and master and still continuing with that sick mentality by the present Indian government. Yeah the poor do eat dirt, and drink cow urine, literally speaking. Why? Because they are so bloody poor. Wake up to reality, instead of dreaming through the other end!

I think the disclosure of Chinese casualties have changed the India-China dynamic in a very significant way. Before the Galwan incident, most Chinese do not think much of India or Indians other than its ancient civilization, ties to Buddhism, etc. Those who climb the GFW probably read some of the nonsensical Indian news but probably got a chuckle or two out of it and don’t give it much thought.

This time it is different. Unlike in the Doklam incident, this is the first time (discounting the EP-3 incident, which was accidental and UN peacekeeper deaths) Chinese soldiers were intentionally killed by foreign armed forces. The domestic media coverage of the event has been extraordinary.

So Indians have been craving for and really catch the attention of the Chinese this time, albeit in a nefarious manner.
killing unarmed negotiators is just unpardonable and despicable.

I hope this doesn't lead to violence, physical or verbal, against Indian expats in China like it did for the Chinese in India shortly after Doklam. Most of the expats are great, law abiding people.
