Down Under get many new toys :) ramp up mainly for Navy coz geography... Air Force after but Army as in much countries now, USA by ex, is less privilegied and Australian Army is modern with very good soldiers but enough small only 3 active brigades with a size a bit low, coz mainly batallions are enough small, undoubtely with changes in this area they need a more robust Army with a 4th or 3 more big Brigades and also more heavy weapons, tanks, SPG, etc...

The Royal Australian Navy's future Air Warfare Destroyer HMAS Hobart started its first series of sea trials, called Builder’s Sea Trials on September 13, 2016. This phase will demonstrate the functionality of the ship’s propulsion, maneuvering, auxiliary, control and navigation systems. Following Builder’s Sea Trials, in early 2017 Hobart will undertake further trials to test and demonstrate the ship’s more advanced systems and the combat system performance.

Never see in details... except maybe some antennas seems exactly same design with the Spanish, an Australian De Bazan o_O

Seems possible later RAAN buy SM-6 but need to be upgraded for an eventual BMD capacity ?
IIRC only European Aegis like Class actually BMD capable for sensors/electronic are the De Zeven Provincien, NL but ofc don't have SM-3.

I believe the Japanese and the Korean AEGIS vessels are going to get BMD. Atago for Japan.
