2025 Israel - Iranian conflict

Iranians are extremely upset with the way how Iran responded against Israel throughout the conflict so far, even as far as stating that investing missiles over aircrafts shouldn't have been a thing in the first place.

Okay this is possibly the most interesting one. Apparently China did agree on Transfer of Technology and even setting up aircraft production line in Iran at one point but Iran still rebuffed it...

Why do you think that he is a legit and credible source?

About the Chinese offering them aircraft, yes it happened. The deputy head of Artesh (Sayyari) once said in an interview with Chinese media that he doesn't see the need for it.

They are hugely incompetent from both a strategic and tactical perspective.

- They shot down their own airliner with an '80s Soviet army SAM system which was stationed next to their busiest international airport in 2020.
- They hit a navy vessel towing a target barge with an AShM killing more than a dozen sailors.
- Mid-air collision between a fighter and a refueling aircraft during a parade.
- Their most prominent missile design team got obliterated by an accident.
- They've managed to damage several naval vessels caused by navigation errors.
- Despite heavy investment in AD in the last 15 years introducing a plethora of advanced radars and SAM systems, they got completely neutered within several days.

And more. This is just from what I've remembered. The incompetence is in both of the militaries as well as in the civilian government. I would currently rate them on par with the Indians.

One guy's tweet with 200 likes by definition doesn't qualify as "Iranians" plural

Iran doesn't have the economic nor political ability to afford nor access the type of airforce that can counter Israel's blank check from the US including hundreds of billions of AIPAC funnelled US tax money. Any airforce they could have afforded would have been lost trying to delay Israeli attack until they have nothing left and had no ability to strike Israel even once.

Iran's missiles however did destroy Israel's will to fight, and that achieved their objectives.

Going forward their path will likely open up as major powers with strong Iran ties realize Iran's vulnerability and decide to booster their defences against an inevitable repeat of Israeli aggression, but that will not come at a cost of counter-strike capability.

But one must play the cards the have at any given time and Iranian investment in missiles was proven correct.
