You know you can save yourself a lot of trouble and a lot less risk of losing ships if you disengage before jumping into something you'll fail at.

Hopefully, this isn't too outside the scope of this thread but, China buys 90% of Iran's oil exports and supplies them with machinery and electronics. Stuff that couldn't come from any other source (because of the relationship with the West). IIRC they've also just completed a freight line to Iran.



Aid comes in different forms, one of the reasons Iran is able to resist in the first place is because of the lifeline that China provides. To use a very nerdy analogy, don't criticize the raid healer for being low on the DPS charts!

Despite all the Israeli propaganda out there, I don't think Iran's taking hits that it can't weather. It's goal should be to try and avoid drawing in the US. Holding back something as leverage (more missiles, attacks on US military bases, US oil refineries, a request for Chinese/Russian aid) is the right play, imo.

It is still a very different identity than Arab. Historically, Arab armies since the 1900s have not done well, and I believe Iran is proving more resilient.
