2025 Israel - Iranian conflict

Persians have ancestry in Central Asia and are the biggest cultural influence in South Asia and western half of Central Asia. Half of Afghanistan speaks Dari and Tajik is basically Cyrillized Farsi.
Yes, all Indo Euorpeans trace ancestry to central Asia. But today most of central Asian is predominantly Turkic and trace ancestry to Mongolia/Xinjiang.

The northern half of Afghanistan and Tajikistan are culturally and linguistically Persian though, and both are considered to be in Central Asia. Persian was the prestige language of the entire southern half of Central Asian and South Asia even into India for 1000+ years until the British came.

Iran is a country and Hezbollah is at most a political entity. The comparison with Hezbollah was in the sense of dismantling the entire organization, which simply did not happen. Hezbollah still exists even with the elimination of its top leadership. Killing Khamenei would literally solve nothing. Israel preaches this doctrine of eliminating leadership, believing that it will change something, but it does not change much in strategic terms, because someone else always takes over and they cannot always count on a leadership that is more convenient for those who want a change of leadership.

Furthermore, even non-state organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah and others, with the elimination of their leaders, the organization still continues. What makes you think that if Khamenei were dead, Iran would fall? Someone else would take over Khamenei's power and continue the chain of command. There is nothing to suggest that Iran would be defeated if the top leadership were eliminated, the Russians don't even believe that, because they know that someone else takes their place, while Ukraine kills the Russian military leadership and someone else always takes their place and yet Ukraine continues to be defeated on the battlefield.

Where there is oppression there is always resistance.

You are correct, Central Asia, due to its terrain and geography, has been a melting pot of different peoples/cultures over the past 2 millennia, with varying groups attaining dominance at different points in history. There is both strong Persian influence on Central Asia, and Turkic influence on Persia. However, Persian is an unique identity that is distinct from the Turkic identity that characterize the bulk of Central Asia (for which Kazakh would be the representative example).

Someone's able to send weapons to Houthis during the memory holed war 2 month ago and Houthis are surrounded on all sides by US allies, now look at which country are to Iran's east and which country is across the Caspian, lol

US couldn't even destroy Houthis AD and have you look at how big western Yemen is compared to Iran.

As always Americans like to half ass and optimize for the worst outcome. Either launch a ground invasion and call China daddy for the rest of time, or sit back and let Isreal get what they deserve.

As for China, China isn't helping Russia either rememeber? lol
I think most important from the US perspective is that they are able to disengage and not get caught in quagmire. I don't know why you seem to think the conflict with Houthi's has been, "memory holed". They weren't able to achieve their outcomes, but they also didn't get caught in a larger conflict and were able to disengage. I think that is the likely the driving goal about any potential strikes.

China isn't a factor in this and won't be in the case of any American strikes.
