to be honest, i really dont expect much from the WZ-10 even if its a legit craft and will make it to service. There are multiple reasons for this. The first is that all modern hardcore attack helipcopters depend on their sensors instead of visual identification. From the WZ-9 we can see the inability of the Chinese in imaging and optical hardwares. Without those hardwares, the attack helicopters would not be too different from a general purpose helipcopters with rockets attached to it. Second is the engines, which China is lacking a great deal of. Becuase of pressure from teh US, the Sino-Canadian deal is pretty much going no where. Since the EU embargo on China will not be lifted soon, China has no choice but to go to Ukraine, since Russia now doesnt want to sell China anything that they dont have (Russians only sell the stuff China already has but not able to make better, such as radars, subs, airplane parts, etc). But since the deal with Canada didnt go sour until not too long ago, incorporating a brand new engine would take another few years to complete due to heavy modification of the whole craft. By then, the WZ-10 would already be obselete just like the new Indian Hal Tejas.
