Will helicopters like Z-10 work in the Himalayas (around disputed region) or is the air too thin?

Any helicopter will struggle in extreme hot and high conditions. The thin air makes it difficult for the rotors to bite into, and the heat and thin air robs the engine of power. Probably will be payload restricted in order to operate; how much is a different question.

I'm going to call this the Z-9G longbow. I think this radar was supposed to go on Z-10 (and maybe it has), but now it's been tested or equipped on Z-9G. Hard to say if this is for testing or deployment.

Actually I'm quite surprised that the PLA seems determined to get WZ10 in service, given that there are quite some armored fighting vehicles, SSPs, tanks waiting, and they are much cheaper.

The PLA right now do not have a dedicated attack heli so they spend the time and money to designed and build the WZ10. Once they solve the engine issue they will be all set to go.

I mean the equipments of the most part of PLA are quite obsolete, but there are quite some new and good models already done. More money could spend on these weapons.
