Seagull reminds me of Seal. Beautiful, elegant. What is strange is one is low end one is mid tier. Both of which have the prettiest design unlike their high end options. It is very strange.
It looks like a nice second car for the family, a nice car families will use to do some quick groceries shopping.
I think this Seagull would do well here in Europe.

The Seagull seems comparable to a Ford Ka, the dolphin looks like the Ford Fiesta to me and now im hoping BYD will come with a EV that is comparable to a Ford Focus ST...

I think the interesting BYD car would be Seal vs Destroyer 05. I prefer Seal look but Destroyer seems cheaper at about same performance.

And there is always Yuan plus if you sacrifice some luxury, but it gains more space for tall people.

What will be the BYD all rounder car?

I had been wondering why BYD had not entered the Indonesian market, but this makes sense now. They are building a plant in Indonesia also.
To me, you need to put lower priced cars in Indonesia so Yuan would be a little pricey for Indonesia. They will probably end up building buses here as well as Dolphin, SeaGull and Song class.

The only holdout from ASEAN region is Vietnam. Given how many plants BYD already has in Vietnam, I think they will announce a car plant there before entering the market.

All ford cars should be banned from the Chinese market. Any battery company working with Ford will be regarded as China's security threat.
Why, the article mentions that catl first factory in the US will most likely be build in Michigan? Ford was still deciding between Virginia and Michigan, Virginia said no so Michigan is still on the table.

I actually love to see the US block the construct of the plant. I don't think Chinese companies invest in countries like the US or India are in China's best interest,Chinese companies should be discouraged from invest in hostile countries
