@siegecrossbow @tphuang Sir I have my doubts about the reconsideration regarding the US Plant, the CPC will not allow it. Its payback time, I'm deviating to geopolitics so I apologies , for the Chinese the humiliation is not about the CCP BUT all of us. I'm seeing China retaliation as followed.

1) getting its investment out of the Collective West

2) with that No further investment

3) end result is No further cooperation in all field

If you want to do business then Kowtow, the trust had gone, the Chinese had lost patience with the Collective West charade and we had the rest of the world to do business with.

China's way is to get itself enshrined in every supply chain so it completely dominates the market. It hasn't achieved that in battery yet.

Anyhow More on BYD. this is about whole car production plant that start production over the rest of this year.

Xi'an Factory #3 (factory 2's 2nd phase) - start production in September
Jinan plant - end of this year
Zhengzhou phase3 1 - end of this year.

December estimated production
Shenzhen 30k
Xi'an 90k
Changsha 60k
Changzhou 30k
Hefei 20k
Fuzhou 20k
So probably around 250k in December, but could be higher depending on Jinan and Zhengzhou production.

Next year, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Changsha, Changzhou, Fuzhou, Hefei, Jinan and Zhengzhou can reach 300 to 350k in monthly production if hitting their max capacity. Can meet domestic demand and export markets.

Now for a breakdown of different models of BYD

Han
- Jan to July sold 240k. EV and DM breakdown are 165k vs 75k. July sold 25,489 units with about same number of EV and DM.
- Since March, Han production hit a new step up. Shenzhen has expanded production to reach 60 JPH, which is about 30k a month and possibly peak at 35k. 60 JPM * 20 hours -> 1200 per day -> 25 work days.

Tang
- Jan to July sold 120k. EV vs DM breakdown is 15k vs 105k. In July, 11,788 sold with EV at 30% of sales.
- Sales have fluctuated due to production issues. Can reach 20k sales per month eventually.

Song
- Sells both Song+ and SongPro and even SongPro. 307k sold between Jan to July. EV vs DM breakdown is 63k to 344k.
- In July, 38,697 sold with DM accounting for 85%.
- Song+ DM-i is the top seller in BYD lineup. Estimated to keep seeing increased production and go over 50k a month at some point

Qin
- Sold 371k from Jan to July. EV to DM breakdown is 155k to 216k. DM production should go up in the future.
- Reached 30k for the first time in July with 34,114. Song+ hit 30,093.
- Another one that they think sales can reach 50k a month. Hefei production starting and Xi'an increases lifted its production.

Yuan
- Yuan was not very good before Yuan+. However, Yuan+ was a huge improvement due to being the first major export platform
- Surpassed 20k in July at 22,172, with Yuan+ almost hitting 20k.
- With increased export focus, Yuan+ will reach 50k sales per month Next year. Yuan pro production will stop soon.

Dolphin
- Hit 109k in Sale by July. Surpassed 20k for the first time in July with 21,005.
- Long wait time for this product. Very behind in delivery.
- September, Dolphin can reach 30k in Sales.
- With increased export, this can reach 50k a month

Frigate 05
- Hit 23,086 in sales from March to July with high of 7548 in July.
- Should exceed 10k in August. In the future, reach 20 to 30k with no problem

Seal
- Hope to reach 30k in production by December. Hefei becomes all Yuan+ and Changzhou will be dedicated to Seal. Depending on how well production ramps up in Changzhou.

In the future, Sea Lion, Sea Gull, Frigate 07, Denza product will be in demand.

BYD can easily reach 1.8 million ion sales this year with an outside shot of 2 million. Next year, should hit 3 million easily and could reach 3.6 million

Why is BYD using all these Chinese subs names, like Tang, Han and Song as the names of their EVs?

From Chinese social media, the latest July Passenger vehicle wholesale figures are out.

Among domestic brand.
BYD has average price of 174k RMB
Havel at 118k RMB
ChangAn 109k
Geely 107k

Foreign brand
SAIC GM 187k RMB (GL8 is the main reason this is so high)
FAW VW 158k RMB
FAW Toyota 158k RMB
SAIC VW 146k RMB
Dongfeng JVs 121k RMB

Luxury brand
Lexus 458k
BBW 376k
Benz 355k
Audi 308k
GM Cadillac 274k

As you can see, BYD has really moved up in the brand value already. EVs obviously help that, but they are selling higher end EVs than Geely and ChangAn. It's significant they are selling more expensive vehicles than both Toyota and VW.

I guess Denza and the new high end brand (when launched), probably won't count in the BYD figures, but still good to see BYD continue to move up the value chain.

Oh, just saw this. BYD has announced it's partner in Thailand REVER Automotive. We will hear more about this in the Bangkok auto show.

Regarding BYD seal. It's the first car using E 3.0 platform and CTB technology and BEV blade battery 2.0. Calling internally as EB platform, whereas both Yuan+ and Dolphin are EA (I believe Dolphin AKA EA1). This new technology will be used in 6 models, including Sea Lion and Denis's SUV.

Denza will have 2 new SUV types this year and off roader.

Frigate 07 and destroyer 07 will be all new models developed with export in mind.

BYD's smart driving system has complete low, medium, high levels. Medium/high level automation will quickly be introduced. Huge progress if this is true.

new commercial vehicle plant in Huai'an. Again, BYD just building factories everywhere.

Normally don't post on e-bikes, but Niu technology is a big players in its various fields. Will be launching e-bikes with sodium-ion batteries to keep cost down. I think this will be the trend for lower end cars in the future.

Do you really not know that BYD has named another model as Frigate? It is clear BYD that has an obsession with sea related themes like sea lion, seal, and dolphin etc. Using Chinese subs classes, like Tang, Han and Song, is another indication of byd's obsession with the sea.
