Which according to my list totals 1,846,300 tons in service in PLAN With a total of 263 main ships in PLAN's battle fleet. Of the PLAN's total naval units in service, 156 ships have ocean capacity.

If I have more information, I can add.

Thank you for the information.

I can't stand editing this list anymore.

5 SSK Type 035B – 2,200 tons (11,000) in decommissioning
7 SSK Type 035G – 2,200 tons (15,400) in decommissioning
If you want to invest a bit more time on this, you could set up an excel sheet and have the numbers updated automatically (total tons, total num of ship type etc)

I researched it in several sources, they all converge on the number of Ming submarines in service, what I did was filter each information, evaluate and compare, the conclusion I posted. Honestly, I'll even review and if anyone can also let me know, I would be grateful.

I still haven't done the research on the smaller ships, those under 1000 tons and that even includes mine ships that, at a given time, I will also do the research and include. For now, I have only evaluated the main PLAN vessels.

Ok

It would be interesting to see the number of Type 271.

If there are only 60 of them, that is enough to transport and launch the 350-400 assault vehicles in a single Army Amphibious Mechanised Brigade. My guestimate is that there are another 900-odd other vehicles in the Brigade.

But if there are actually 300+ (as mentioned by some sources), that's enough for 5 of the Army's Amphibious Mechanised Brigades.

I don't know how to use Excel in an advanced way, I'm happy to continue with this scheme, but I would certainly be grateful if you kept constant updates on this topic of commissioned ships, it would help a lot.

Would you know if the PLAN has any development of an LSD variant in the 15,000-20,000 tons class?
