So, to get the obvious out of the way, the image in this display is obviously quite different from the FM-3000N depicted in the VLS mockup. In fact the missile in this display looks identical to the standard FM-3000 we know.
That said, the characteristics and specs of the FM-3000N as described here are decent from what I can see.
But I'm not sure if the 3-5 missile is FM-3000N -- the possibility is not small that the FM-3000N may have been a failed contender developed for the 3-5 missile tender.
Some generic missile that they made a big and a small version of, plus a blunted version for a cruise missile. The bigger SAM in the VLS is supposed to be the HHQ-9 and yet it looks like a bigger version of the smaller missile, and does not look like the HHQ-9 either.
45km is close to 50km. I always suspect Zhuhai ranges are generally under quoted anyway.
This kind of missile design is similar to 9M96 Redut, whose versions range from 40km to 120km. It also has the same manner of loading, missiles clustered at the top rather than the bottom, and being cold launched.
Its closer to say this is more of a Chinese Redut than an ESSM.
Well, FM-3000N is quad packable, and I assume that the missile depicted in the VLS mockup is the true configuration of FM-3000N.
But even if it isn't, the missile with the specifications as listed in the display, and being quad packable, I think can be fairly described as an ESSM equivalent.
The 9m96E, to my understanding, cannot be quad packed in the Redut/Resurs VLS.
Quadpacking 9M96E was one of the things they were planning for the UKSK VLS.
On the Redut VLS, the quad pack ones are the 9M100s.

And 9M100 in Redut has a range of some 15km.
And 9M96E cannot be quad packed in Redut.
So, if you are comparing FM-3000N in the depicted VLS, when considering the primary characteristics of interest (quad packable and range), the FM-3000N is most accurately compared to ESSM and Mk-41 currently, or to 9M96E if it is ever adopted in a quad packable manner in UKSK.
