Instead of sanctions, the US is being extra lenient on Pakistan right now vis a vis the IMF renegotiations, which are crucial for continued growth. It's actually surprising how Pakistan has rejected the IMF's demands and proposed alternatives, which the IMF is actually agreeing to for now (this usually never happens, just ask any of the other countries which the IMF has ever lent to.)

Once the US exit is complete and Afghanistan is stable (saving the US from further embarrassment), there is the possibility they will turn the pressure back on, but Pakistan only needs a small window of time in order to accelerate economic growth, which the PTI+Army need to win the next election with enough support so that they can perform a thorough restructuring.

The US also recently requested Pakistan to distance itself from China, which Pakistan flatly rejected in a very bold public statement, causing embarrassment for the US. It was a signal to Washington that our strategic position is strong enough that pressure won't work. This is why Biden is officially distant, but in reality, the US is going with the flow, for now.
After years thier seems to be a good man in office who is looking at the structural issues of the country

His victory is a matter of national security imo

But our economy is too dependent on west rn and I have no doubt we'll get sanctioned for some ridiculous reason in no time

Rock and a hard place, If I am Pak leader I'll try to play nice with both countries

But don't think US would fall for it

Didn't the EU already place trade barriers on Pakistani fabrics? Sanctions can also come as well the further Pakistan moves towards China.

I don't think so (If you're talking about GSP plus status), some looney parliamentarians threatened too

But nothing came out of it I believe

Seems possible at least. Pretty much everyone thinks the US puppet government is a dead man standing with the US cutting and running, so Pakistan has little to loose and everything to gain to help the Taliban come to power quicker.
False report as officially denied by Pakistan .... Afghan Vice President is a known racist and Indian alley who hated Pakistan on Racial grounds

This thing could be understand easily by 2-3 simple facts

- Afghan Taliban started capturing border posts with Pakistan recently but has captured almost complete boarders with Iran, Tajikistan much earlier these even those cities which were never in their control in past, so which air force was supporting Afghan Taliban on those boarders ..... ???

- Second thing is Afghan Air force has not bombed any other captured position of Afghan Taliban at boarders with Iran and Tajikistan then why it was necessary to bomb Pak-Afghan boarder ..... ???

- Afghan Taliban have not just captured boarder posts but have captured many districts as well in Kandahar Province of Afghanistan but no Aerial Bombing is done against them since the capture of those districts, so why ANAF (Afghan National Air Force) was interested only in bombing the border post on zero line .... ???

What we factually know is that ANAF was flying near to 'zero line' and was warned about their proximity with Pak-Afghan International boarder which BTW the current Afghan regime does not recognise.

Mr. Emre Koray GENÇSOY's Linkedin Post (He's Naval Platforms Technical Manager at ASFAT, Turkey):

"At the launching ceremony of TCG Istanbul, the first ship of the İ-Class, held at the end of January 2021, PNS BABUR, with 6 blocks visible on the slipway, is ready to launch after 7 months with 37 blocks.

We sincerely congratulate the Istanbul Shipyard Command, which completed the construction with a superior performance, especially the Asfat personnel who struggled tirelessly for this cause, our design stakeholder Navtek, who did not give up the fight despite the changing design, and all our subsystem providers and subcontractors who continued to work under Covid conditions.
It was a difficult work, but thanks to the planning and collaborative method, we were able to take this rope proudly together.

It was a difficult work, but thanks to the planning and collaborative method, we were able to take this rope proudly together.
Now we have a busy year ahead of us; while aiming to quickly complete the remaining activities and start the tests, at the same time; We continue our struggle on a difficult schedule, as there is 9 months for the launching of ship 3 in Karachi and 13 months for the launching of ship 2 in ITK.
In addition to all these, we are proud of the fact that the steel cutting of TCG AKHİSAR, which is the first ship of the Offshore Patrol Ship project, whose critical design activities continue, will be carried out together with this launching ceremony.
The range is long, the goals are big, we still have a long way to go. With our team that aims to walk together with all stakeholders and is getting stronger day by day, we are determined to take every step to reach this goal.
The result so far; It is a clear proof of what can be done when action is taken in a planned manner, together with all project stakeholders.

Common goal, common success..."

The design of the PN MILGEM 1 (PNS BABUR) was changed midway during construction from the 16 cell HQ-16 launcher and two guidance radars to the 12 VLS NGAD. But they still managed to accomplish that without delay.

The Turkish-Pakistan military collaboration is reaching new heights. Soon we'll see the design of the Jinnah class, co-developed between the two countries. The Turkish MoD has concluded the two-day visit to Pakistan and spoke with the President, PM, MoD, CoS and minister for defence production. They had very fruitful talks together.

I think we all know what technologies Turkey is going to get in exchange...;)
