Some heavy sentences are starting to come down. 4.5 years for rioting/arson. Unfortunately, at least from watching the broadcast, seems like some of the worst ones got away.

HK still incompetent. Unacceptable that HK has not implemented a smart city program.

Central Gov should push for it, and then lets see who will dare to make these crimes and then walk free afterwards

  • Democratic Party founding chairman Martin Lee given a suspended 11-month sentence for taking part in the same demonstration
  • Seven former lawmakers have been jailed for between eight and 18 months, though three of those sentences have been suspended
Slap on the wrist. Very light sentences

Outside of group outside the courtroom or prison supporting their jailed (allege for pre-coviction) criminal or sitting up some infomational table somewhere, are there still wide spread pro-democracy protest going on? Seems only 4 showed up in this protest:

More charges are coming for Jimmy Lai. A few others got away with light sentences and all of them are lawyers that is why Hong Kong is controlled by elites and wealthy.
Disappointing performance from the HK judicial system. Time for systemic reform

Eventually, there would be major reforms for judicial, media and the education. At the moment, I think the Chinese government is focusing on the legislature and executive branches first.
