Hong-Kong Protests

The new election and national security laws are helpful for HK. However now it must start producing results for its people. There are no more excuses if they fail at that.

My advice: Bulldoze any resistance and start massively building houses. If the tycoons start making noises, throw them to jail for tax evasion or whatever. There is no super rich who is a saint (they all have dirty histories)

No point in trying to establish some more propaganda outlets. The truth is well out there if people want to know, the problem is that most people are willingly blinding themselves.

If the life in HK was so crushed after NSL, where is the huge outflow of people like lead up to 1997? There isn't because for 90% of people, there is nothing to be afraid of (or at least the money from China is more important).

Getting off-topic, but you can extend this to anything to do with China.

If 1,000,000 Uighur people are being imprisoned against their will, close to 10% of the Uighur population, why is there no mass refugee problem? It's simple common sense and logic, if there is a 1 in 10 chance of going to jail for no reason, why would you wait around for the police to round you up?

If forced labor was so prevalent, why did John Deere have record sales in China? In fact, in their financial disclosures, they were afraid of XPCC sanctions affecting their business. Don't forget that John Deere is one of the few companies still extensively manufacturing in America, and Trump said he is protecting American jobs.

There was the news last year from GD with the McDonald's that said "Blacks not welcome". Right away the central government got in touch with some foreign ministers in Africa to say this was not an official policy, and local officials were warning businesses.

Meanwhile in America there is a trial for the police officer that committed a public execution of a black man right now, but that still didn't stop this from happening

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

Yet you still have people saying China is the most racist country on the planet. What is this actually based on really?

Anyway, tl:dr version
You can't convince stupid people not to be stupid.

Well, I did say that the new, loyal channel should always tell the truth, no matter what. And I add now that it should stick to the truth even if that causes Beijing some momentary pain. You can't really dismiss consistent truth as "propaganda".

As for the need for more media outlets, despite the information available on the Internet, I would say that convenience counts. Most people still listen to the radio and watch a lot of TV. If some counter-information appears on the most popular media, even slightly, people will begin to talk to each other about the differences they are seeing or hearing. Over time more and more people will tell themselves, "OK, I see what Apple Daily is saying, now let's see what Beijing says."

People talk to others, the others chatter to still others, and so on, causing an exponential growth of healthy scepticism. If that happens, the pro-Western propaganda bubble should burst rather quickly.

That’s the ideal scenario, but this is the reality (and these aren’t even related to China or corona)

1. Child sex trafficking ring in a pizza parlour basement
2. Anti measles vaccination campaigns
3. Environmentalism is a global conspiracy

If anything, based on your idea, China should actually figure out how these totally F’ed up ideas gain traction. The actress Gweneth Paltrow has actually convinced many women to stick rocks in their ******s (no gentle way to put that) in the name of health! It’s a multi million dollar business for her!

No need to study too much, it is simple. The internet allows the idiot people to loudly voice their opinion and thus generate more controversies. Then, more people are exposed to it, and because with many people gathering together becoming a mob, they are more easily influenced (the bigger the mob, the less the collective IQ).

Repeat this 1000 times and congratulations you just gained a radicalised and dangerously idiotic population.

It seems that in the end, China was right. A totally free and open internet was a mistake. The rest of the world is realising it now and they are now rushing to reform their system. The EU is leading and the US is far behind but it is still working on it with much difficulty.

China can rest assured that it dodged a bullet with having a less radicalised population. The US on the other hand....
