Everytime a us police shoots unarmed black man, China should immidiately issue official condemnation through foreign ministry spoke woman/man
Makes noise on the un human right council, demands us to respect rights of minorities

Everytime there is a racist attacks against Chinese in new york (seems to be happening a lot lately) or wherever in the us or everytime there is a Chinese researcher being arrested by the fbi for bogus spying charges. Broadcasts it non stop domestically in cctv or ctgn, advises Chinese parents how dangerous it is for Chinese in america and how their children might either be arrested by the fbi if they study science or be randomly targeted on the streets of la or nyc, unfortunately there are still a lot Chinese parents who still white worship america and brainwash their children, this must change

Lets be real, majority of us on this forum are chinese-canadian/american. In the long run, we probably have 3-5 years max, before either the state or some "non-affiliated" gang "takes care of us". As usual, the Israelis are my inspiration.

I'm uncomfortable with "The West keeps accusing China vs China tries hard to prove its own innocence" or "offensive West vs defensive China" situation with focus being on China's human rights issuses. The West doesn't lose anything whatever the result and China can gain nothing at best even when proven innocent with only possibilities of China's image being damaged. Defending isn't the answer. Attacking back is the answer. You cannot win the fight by only being defensive when they keep attacking you. Being defensive will only make them freely attack you more. China should focus more on accusing the West's human rights issues rather than defending against the West's accusations. Argument shouldn't be on China guilty vs China innocent.
There should be limits to the bullshit they spew about China however. I think letting a truly independent investigation into Xinjiang would debunk the "1 million Uyghur genocide concentration torture death camp" narrative.

Calling out bullshit has worked for the accusation that Covid is a biological weapon. After the WHO's investigation, they can still accuse China of "mismanagement" or "withholding information", but they now have to discredit an independent international organization in order to continue pushing the biological weapon narrative, which hasn't happened. Outside of the nutjobs, the most US officials can say is that they disagree with WHO's findings now.

The WHO team has scientific expertise. What does an investigation team to Xinjiang have to offer? Also, China had already arranged diplomats from Muslim countries to visit.

Aren't they gonna end up paying more for processing rare earth in their own countries? Isn't the reason why they let China process and sell them rare earth because its extremely toxic to the environment and labor extensive?

That's why it requires government subsidies to move forward.

I looked at some of the videos released by China to combat the Uighur allegations and I must say that the propaganda department really is its own enemy. You basically have short (and obviously scripted) excerpts of Uighurs showing off their new houses, cars, restaurants whilst insulting Mike Pompeo. Every single one of them ends with something along the lines of I’m proud of my great country of China. Who comes up with this? Haven’t had this much cringe since I watched Kayne West insult Taylor Swift at the Grammys.

The correct approach would be something like this.

Don’t just focus on the big new houses and flashy cities. Show the alleys and less touristy stuff and organic interactions with the natives. You can tell that many of the guys in this video (a whole series of videos, actually) are indifferent or even camera shy, but that’s how people actually behave! The delicious food also serve as a good attention grabber so that people check them out.

The end game would be cultivating a Uighur Li Ziqi, but if the Chinese government try their hand at it it will fail for certain. They always try too hard and in the wrong direction.

You've obviously been too westernized. Those videos weren't "released by China", they are videos on Chinese social media made by ordinary people to refute the lies they see Pompeo tell the world.

They focus on their houses and their livelihoods because that's what matters to them!

I don't know if you've ever been to Xinjiang. Only a generation ago, Uighurs were stereotyped as thieves and thugs because of widespread poverty. The joke goes that in 30 years Xinjiang went from Africa to Europe.

The reason you find it cringey is that you don't have the same priorities in life as these people. You look at Li Ziqi and think she's a great cultural influencer, but that's precisely because Li Ziqi is most attractive to urbanites who are tired of city life and crave a return to nature.

Li Ziqi is a great cultural ambassador, but she's not able to refute Pompeo's lies.

WHO and its team never buys into the lab conspiracy theories. On the other hand, the UN human rights group has already declared China committed Human rights violation in Xinjiang. U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet has been hostile. That's why it is very important whoever got invited need to be an appearance of objective. Otherwise, it would backfire badly upon China.

There is an overwhelming desire in this forum for China to improve its image in the West because most of us are overseas Chinese living in Western countries.

While I completely understand the sentiment, I am under no illusions that anything can be changed. The Western public's image is shaped by geopolitical realities. So long as the Western ruling class sees China as a threat to their power, they will continue to frame China as an enemy. There nothing you and I, or China itself, can do about that.

This is why I've decided to start working on a way to allow either myself or my children to move back to China. Make no mistake, the storm is coming. I only hope we still have enough time.

They were thieves and thugs. I personally witness two incidents of them in action
