Some of the nationalistic commenters said Chinese soldiers all grew up in luxury urban apartments and so can't fight Indian soldiers. Yet some claim China has a food shortage and people are going to become hungry. I hate how hyperbolic Western media makes you. Everything is in black and white to them. The truth is China still has a lot to pull up, but they are doing very well in that area. Reality is more nuanced than some hyperbolic picture of Chinese life.

In the West, they take their sweet ass time with their "nuanced" explanation of what US actions is not bad.

But when it comes to China, there is zero tolerance for "nuance", it's Black and White, China Bad, US Good. If you disagree, it's hyperbolic low-effort propaganda accusations of being a "shill".

They bend over backwards with "nuanced" explanations of their own actions or their allies, but their percieved enemies, it's Black and White and oversimplified and overly negative.

I suppose India's hate/fear of China is so great now.

Not many Indians think like Pravin Sawhney. The first half of this video sounds like music to the ears of Indian Jai Hinds. USA sharing with India access to their live data. From GPS, to Satellites, to Cyber, etc. In the second half, Pravin reminds viewers that India is gonna become a pawn to the USA, with long term geopolitical consequences. An anticipated lost of trust from Russia and increased hostility with China.

Since Pravin always speak in contrast to what the Indian govt does. I believe India will sign this BECA thing and go all in on the USA camp. Its too good an offer to resist for Indian leaders looking for a showdown with China. They never think strategically anyway. And it'll be one hell of a statement to China.

No matter how much superior China's military is to India. Having access to US military data is a serious development and would increase the lethality of India's strike options. Its something for the Chinese military leadership to seriously think about. Better for them to assume that India is a competent enemy and train on that. Then punish them severely when they aren't.

With US encouragement, this BECA bullshit could embolden India to think it could win a fight with China. Not good for world peace.

It makes sense if you just think "China bad", no matter what it is, as long as it's negative on China's part, it's logically sound.

What I'm getting from reading this is...Indian soldiers are too weak or too poorly trained to throw their grenades a safe distance from themselves, or are unaware to shield themselves from shrapnel. British troops had no issues with these grenades to report it afaik. This multi mode grenade will likely not be seen in any vast numbers especially in Ladakh.

I find it more shocking that they are still using mills bomb grenades of WWI design.

It means that China will likely upgrade its military capabilities in WTC, which hasn't been a priority so far. India will be taken more seriously definitely because it starts to position itself as hostile to China. That hasn't been the case until this year. I don't think India will necessarily narrow the military gap with China in the area even with the help from the US. With further upgrades and investment China will maintain or even enlarge the gap in the border area. India will face more pressure and be dragged into an arm race it can ill afford.

Looking at the larger strategic picture, a number of countries/actors are making a strategic bet - believing the US-China tension giving them an opportunity. These include India, Australia and Taiwan. We'll see how they will fare over the next few years. I think they're making a mistake.

There may not be a next year for Taiwan judging by the speed of escalation currently.

And to stay on topic, should the Taiwan situation be resolved quickly before US can respond, then surely PLA would then turn their main focus to India. India would be facing enormous pressure then.

China is too diplomatically nice to return such favours to the US and India. So its up to the other enemy nations who are nasty enough, and powerful enough to do those things to USA and India.

Perhaps one day, whoever who hates the USA could:
1) Invite and recognize the descendants of the Kamehameha dynasty of the former Hawaiian Kingdom. And launch a Free Hawaii campaign.
2) Investigate and condemn the real repression and cultural genocide of the Native Americans in USA.
3) Recognize Mexico's sovereignty over Texas, New Mexico, California, and Arizona.
4) Investigate and condemn the alleged forced sterilization of immigrants at ICE internment camps.
5) Condemn actual US atrocities in Latin America.
6) Condemn actual US war-crimes against Muslims.

Don't forget about India. Whoever who hates India could perhaps one day:
1) Officially recognize that Kashmir does not belong to India. And condemn Indian occupation and war crimes on the Kashmiri population. Bring it all the way up to the UN and UNSC. Push for India to be sanctioned for Human Rights violations and war crimes.
2) Condemn India's repression of its Muslim and ethnic minority populace.
3) Recognize the independence of the Kingdom of Sikkim. Launch a Free Sikkim campaign.
4) Recognize the independence of Nagaland from India. Support the cause of the Nagaland rebels.
5) Condemn Indian border aggression on neighbouring countries. Rally the victim countries to condemn India at the UN.

Very interesting and informative,I think US and India need to look inwards rather than follow a policy of chaos in the world
