What do you think this curve is?

Well it's definitely not the histograms I asked for.

One "curve" does not an analysis make. But you can go ahead and lock yourself up, based on this one graph taken without any analytical context.

The real tragedy here is how fragile society has become. So many lives have been negatively effected, and all because of a flu with a realistic fatality rate of less than 1%. Even assuming the inflated rate of 2%, it's not exactly the Bubonic Plague, is it?

Yet, the entire world economy has come to standstill because the WHO/CDC issued overblown statements (just like they did with Ebola), then the media started issuing even more irresponsible statements and politicizing the issue, which started a chain reaction where the masses started demanding "action," which resulted in the governments panicking, which the media hyped up again to justify their original hype, thus creating this negative feedback loop. In the end, businesses are going bankrupt, people are getting laid off, society is "distancing" itself from each other (fighting in grocery stores over water bottles... in countries with the greatest supply of fresh water) all due to purely psychosomatic effects of mass hysteria, fostered by the media and corrupted organizations.

This whole episode will be studied by historians as a case-study of how ridiculous our entire society had become at this point in history. If all this mass-hysteria is the result of this fairly benign flu, what will happen when a real threat comes?
So, do you think the overwhelmed ICU in Wuhan/Italy/Spain etc were caused by "WHO/CDC issued overblown statements"?

Italy has to use their Army to move bodies from the epicenter because their local crematorium can't cope. Was that caused by "WHO/CDC issued overblown statements" as well? Did the WHO/CDC just scared people to death?

Curious how you convinced yourself when the cold hard facts suggested otherwise.

The middle Italy was typo : ) That should be China.

If you bother you can read further :

So, the original UK action was based on the Chinese numbers, and as they received the Italian numbers the UK had to change the strategy dramatically.

If the explanation can't be the different testing then other explanations :
-china feeded false data about the number of intensive cases
-any other idea ?
More like they realized the UK population is old like Italy and their health care system sucks like Italy. They don't have the organizational capability or ability to surge doctors from other provinces like China.

@Mohsin77

If hundreds of millions get infected, maybe even billions, we may see 10% fatality due to higher viral load in the environment and 0 healthcare cuz all the doctors are dead.

And at the end of the video, recommended actions: Wash your hands, which is exactly what I recommended lolz. Yep, that's much more effective than hoarding toilet paper and fighting each other at the grocery stores over water bottles.

How about the "cold hard fact" that you've just committed a strawman fallacy? Did I say that this is a trivial problem and that ICUs aren't overstressed etc. ? I very clearly mentioned the specific instances of mass hysteria, like N number of times.

There's no strawman when you described it as a "fairly benign flu", right there in your original post that I quoted. Are you having problem remembering what you posted?

I have a feeling that next months will painfully prove the systemic superiority of the Chinese approach and ability to respond. Now the state has the power and the numbers. I would like to see what would have happened if the markets were let alone to "self adjust". All this cash
floding the market is technically inflation? :p
