ISIS/ISIL conflict in Syria/Iraq (No OpEd, No Politics)

I've read THE bombing occurred at Turdah Mountain ...
... and most recently a pro-Government Twitter account has said ISIL after the bombing took over the base which is marked below (in a very old "peto lucem" which is otherwise unrelated) as
"HQ 137th Artillery Base"
close to the airport (marked as "Deir Ezzor Airbase") ... that account posted ISIL pictures (I wouldn't!) showing a clear view of the airport (from what I figured, Turdah Mountain overlooks the town of Deir Ezzor):

... Syrian forces pound Aleppo as government declares end to cease-fire

indeed:
A UN aid convoy delivering food was hit by air strikes which pounded opposition-held parts of Syria on Monday night, minutes after the military declared the end of a ceasefire.

The strikes, carried out by either Syrian or allied Russian warplanes, hit Syrian Red Crescent trucks as staff members were unloading aid in Urem al-Kubra in Aleppo province.

EDIT
somebody in Twitter said a Russian drone had been following that (?) convoy ... since 01:00:26 at Russia Today footage:

Point of order there Jura, it was a Syrian Red Crescent convoy, not UN.

I have actually seen the footage of the strike. I seemed to notice quite a few secondaries, which is surprising for Baby Milk and Bandages!

Do you have a link to the footage please?

I originally watched a few seconds of footage on Channel 4 and then BBC news.
After quite a search, I have finally found a 3 min segment of LiveLeak
After watching it, it is all rather confused and indistinct, but it definitely looks like secondaries to me.
Will value your opinion

I can not make out of anything from the video.
What I can see and hear are the following only:
1. explosion in the middle of night.
2. a guy kept shouting the "slogan", does "Syrian Red Crescent" worker do that? It doesn't fit my imagination. And also why shouting that? Cheer? or Anger?
3. There is no identification of what was hit, who was hit, no damage shown.

Did "Syrian Red Crescent" come out and claimed the damage was theirs?

Ministry of Defence confirms British involvement in US-led airstrike that killed at least 62 Syrian government troops

RAF Reaper drones were involved in the weekend airstrike that killed at least 62 Syrian government troops and threatened the fragile truce in the country, the

has said.

An unspecified number of weapons were fired from the drones capable of firing 500lb laser guided bombs and Hellfire missiles, it added.

The British military said it was cooperating fully with an investigation by the US-led coalition into the incident, which led to dozens of soldiers being killed and injured, according to Syrian government reports.

Australian, Danish and US air forces were also involved in the raid.

An MoD spokesman said: “We can confirm that the UK participated in the recent coalition airstrike in

, south of Deir ez-Zour on Saturday, and we are fully cooperating with the coalition investigation.

The UK would not intentionally target Syrian military units. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this stage.”

The incident is likely to be the most serious mistake by UK air forces since

from Iraq to Syria last December.

Until the end of August the Reaper drones had flown 547 sorties in Syria, releasing weapons in 29 of these, including 45 Hellfire missiles. The raids are supposed to be confined to attacks on Islamic State (Isis) fighters.

, and led to allegations that the airstrikes on the Syrian soldiers could not have been mistaken.

Syria’s president, Bashar al-Assad, described the attack as “flagrant aggression”.

The Russians called an emergency meeting of the UN security council to discuss the incident, a move describe by the US ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, as a stunt.

Russia’s UN ambassador, Vitaly Churkin, said: “It is highly suspicious that the US chose to conduct this particular airstrike at this time,”adding that it did not look like an honest mistake.

The US military has not confirmed the strikes against the Syrian troops but has suggested it was carrying out a raid against Isis fighters in eastern Syria.

Syria’s weeklong ceasefire, brokered by the US and Russia, was in any case in growing doubt amid claims of repeated violations by both sides and the

.

The Australian prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, confirmed that his country’s aircraft had been involved, but pulled out when Russian officials advised the targets may have been Syrian military personnel.

“We regret the loss of life and injury to any Syrian personnel affected,” Turnbull told reporters in New York, where he will attend the annual United Nations genera assembly.

He said Australia’s rules of engagement were to target Isis, but that the environment in Syria was very complex.

“You’ll find over the next little while no doubt arguments or issues about why there wasn’t more coordination or who was meant to be advising who,” he said.

Turnbull said it remains to be seen whether the incident would jeopardise the Syrian ceasefire.

The location of the strike was in an area the coalition has struck in the past, US Centcom officials said. Coalition members in the air operations centre had earlier informed Russian counterparts of the upcoming strike.

“It is not uncommon for the coalition air operations centre to confer with Russian officials as a professional courtesy and to deconflict coalition and Russian aircraft, although such contact is not required by the current US-Russia memorandum of understanding on safety of flight,” officials said in a statement.

“Syria is a complex situation with various military forces and militias in close proximity, but coalition forces would not intentionally strike a known Syrian military unit,” the officials said. “The coalition will review this strike and the circumstances surrounding it to see if any lessons can be learned.”

Is that all the 'evidence' people have?

Screw the secondaries, what about the primary? Just what evidence does anyone have pointing this as Russia or Syria's doing?

Seems like everyone is taking it as given that this was an air strike with zero evidence, other than unverifiable claims by US officials unwilling to give their names.

You'd think if the US had any smoking gun linking this attack conclusively to Russia or Syria, they couldn't show the world fast enough.

The 'eye witness' accounts of the attack are all over the place, and actually contradicts the US government version of events.

The US is claiming two Russian Su24s in the skies in the area at the time of the attack were responsible, and that the attack was too 'sophisticated' to be the Syrian government. But the news are filled with clips of people claiming to have seen helicopters and barrel bombs (in the pitch black), with some even claiming to be giving a blow by blow of conversations between Syrian helicopter pilots and ground control.

Also, for all the people lining up to show video of the aftermath, I have seen no video evidence of the actual moment the convoy was hit. Odd given how long these same witnesses are claiming the attack went on for.

I remember thinking at the time this story first broke that the timing of this attack was pretty serendipitous for the US, helping to entirely shift the focus and blame from their own oh so recent and damning air strike calamity.

This is shaping up to be a textbook bait and switch false flag operation, with the US government and western media going out of their way to look past all the glaring holes and inconsistencies so they can 'fall' for it.
