Btw who's paying for Right Sector?
The US.
US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, Nuland said: “Since the declaration of Ukrainian independence in 1991, the United States supported the Ukrainians in the development of democratic institutions and skills in promoting civil society and a good form of government - all that is necessary to achieve the objectives of Ukraine’s European. We have invested more than 5 billion dollars to help Ukraine to achieve these and other goals. ” Nuland said the United States will continue to “promote Ukraine to the future it deserves.”

Cui bono, cui prodest - for whose benefit is Right Sector playing? Crisis in Maidan escalated exactly during Sochi Olympic Games - it's not coincidence. It was designed to deal serius blow to Russian image abroad.

The Verge article more seems to glaze over it in my opinion.
the fact is that until the US fields a Commercial Crew platform, NASA is reliant on Roscosmos. Due to the fact that the Shuttle was retired before a successor was built, and the European space agency lacks a Manned space platform.
Roscosmos unless they launch there own space station is reliant on Nasa for operations of the systems of ISS. As the US modules form the bulk of a number of critical systems, and NASA runs the Bulk of resupply missions.

basicly they are stuck together. The only other manned space program is of course the PRC but, there is no evidence that the Chinese have designed there space craft with the proper docking collar for ISS.
secondly their is seemingly no interest in the ISS on there part.

1) The docking system is an international standard. I read last year ( ? or longer ago ) that PRC conforms to that standard.
2) US Congress enacted a law that prevents NASA from agreeing to China taking part in the ISS project.

Piotr, you simple have to stop posting these one liner, incendiary, flame bait comments.

The US is not going to send drones to kill pro Russian Ukrainians for demonstrating.

If they were Islamic or other terrorists planning attacks against the US...that would be different, but please stop the incendiary comments.

READ THE RULES.

You have been suspended once before...I am trying not to make it permanent.

This has been said ad-nausium.

NO POSTS (or articles) that indicate that the Ukrainian government (or as in this last case - the US itself) is supporting Nazi forces and movements in the Ukraine. Delft, you know better.

The next time this is done, the thread will be closed and whomever does it will get a hefty suspension.

Russian banks and consumers will do well to hedge themselves against Western sanctions. They should tie-up with Chinese UnionPay payment system and start issuing UnionPay credit card to mitigate any risk from American sanction. Really a win-win proposition for UnionPay and Russian Bank. Why reinvent the wheel if a Russian Credit Card will be hard-pressed to gain international acceptance. UnionPay wins by gaining more intenational acceptance. Russian Banks and consumers also win by having a alternative form of payment less prone to sanctions at a minimal cost.
