THis is, I assume, a PLAAF J16. But what is currently known about naval J-16s? Is such an unit confirmed? Which one is it?

Actually I don't think so even if I assumed it to be a naval bird.
If I'm not mistaken, then this one below is a regular Block 4 PLAAF J-16 assigned to the 98th Brigade.

Another nice image of a J-16 featuring this new light-grey radome ... unfortunately the c/n is erased.

I must admit, I'm not entirely sure - esp. since that image is too blurred - but could be that these J-16s featuring the new light-grey coloured radome are indeed already Block 5 aircraft?
It seems a bit as if the construction number on this J-16 is '0502' ... and also, I never noticed this detail on the pylon's front.

    J-16 cn. 0502 maybe - 20190602.jpg J-16 cn. 0502 maybe - 20190602 part.jpg J-16 cn. 0502 maybe - pylon.jpg
