Also, the impression of yankee suggests he believes the new missile should have more advanced guidance (such as dual mode MWW and ImIR) rather than only MMW guidance. The missile in the video appears like it can only have MMW guidance.
Btw that Video does mention that the missile shown switched to laser guidance under strong Electronic interference order reacquire target .(overcoming ECW seem to be a common part of PLA aviation exercises)

Other than that, the missile shown is definitely not the rumoured long range agm, it’s the same dimension as the other atgm and if you seen spike NCLOS used on the Apache, you’ll notice it’s significantly larger than hellfire.

Might be useful to ask him directly.

Yo, @huitong
Do you think the missile in the video (the MMW weapon that resembles BA-21 you dub KD-X) is the same "world class" missile mentioned here:

??

The reason I am skeptical is because the tone of the news suggests the "world class" missile should still be in development, and we wouldn't see this missile shown on CCTV if it were still in development.

I can easily imagine this ATGM to have a new designation in the same way the KD-10 evolved from the KD-9 as a larger and heavier brother of the same family.

Yes I kind of agree with you that the "world class" ATGM mentioned in the recent news is still under development. The KD-X already in service with PLA Army Aviation is likely a different type and has evolved from earlier BA-21.
Your guess as good as mine what kind of proof did you have ? other than your guess. Show me a proof it is in operation already?

What do you mean by the dimension is the same as other missile It is definitely larger than AKD 10
And how a missile with a radar sensor can have laser sensor at the same time I mean look at the diameter of the missile it is no larger than 8 in

I enjoy thedrive's articles but the commentators are near racist or super nationalistic rather than talking about the actual gear/etc. Any positive Chinese commentators are wumaos and attacked. Defend yourself and you are banned/soft banned by the unfair (racist?) mods.

One should never read the comments on most popular blogs and whatnot. Only those forums carefully managing the commentary (bans, rules, etc) are worth much anymore.

They can be interesting and informative, except Joseph Trevithick's pieces. Those read like the ramblings of a internet forum fanboy, particularly if they involve Russia.

"Russia unveiled new weapons with these capacities. They probably suck since its russian, and russians are dumb and poor. We will probably come up with the same thing and better. USA, USA!".

A GoPro-type camera attached to the muzzle brake of WZ-10's 23mm autocannon:

Original Note: A WZ-10 attack helicopter assigned to an army aviation brigade under the PLA 73rd Group Army lifts off from the flight deck of the dock landing ship Yimengshan (Hull 988) during an inter-Services maritime coordinated training exercise with the PLA Navy at an undisclosed sea area on August 3, 2020. In a missile-firing test, the cannon barrel was used as a selfie stick:

In the above ship landing and takeoff exercise, however, the camera was likely turned forward for evaluation and training purposes.
