Trees? by vegetation he meant grass or rice or whatever that green surface is. could easely be tall enough to hide the undercarriage.

Wait a sec. The helicopter is stationary in the field when that photograph was taken! I thought it was flying.

If it's stationary, then the perspective seems off because that white colored shack in the foreground would be very small. And the door would be like 3 foot high or something.

I have no idea what the "shack" in the foreground is - maybe part of some sort of irrigation system? - but I don't think the door-like thing is actually a door. If you imagine the photo without the helicopter, the "shack" still looks small compared to the vegetation on the road. I wouldn't use that to measure the size of the copter.

That picture is not right at all. There's no way it can be stationary on the grass. There are no shadows where the helicopter meets the ground. Look at the shadows on the helicopter itself. The light source should be coming from above and behind the helicopter. So there should be shadow cast on the ground in front and below the helicopter. But there's none.

I can't imagine what else that shack could possibly be. What else can that door thing be, if not a door?

And the helicopter can't be flying either. The rotors are not spinning.

This picture is PS all the way. And I certain there's no such thing as WZ-10B, or least that drawing the pure fan fiction. They haven't even gotten the WZ-10 ready for prime-time yet. But it shouldn't be too long!

Maybe it's a prototype version of the WZ-10B.

Since the WZ-10 hasn't entered service yet, a successor appears to be the far distance. I suspect this is a fanboy drawing, because it's the PLA Army Aviation that operates helicopters. The "PLA Airforce" does not exist.

The pic in the newspaper definitely looks odd in some way. The artist pic I posted of the WZ-10B came from the globalsecurity website.

the rotors aren't moving because the helicopter had to make an emergency landing...

translation of the article:
in a test flight 2 days ago, a helicopter from changhe corporation was forced to land in a rice field; no one was injured.
the chopper landed near the village at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon. according to the villagers, the helicopter looked like it was falling out of the sky. because the soil in the rice field was soft and muddy, the helicopter sank into the soil at an angle.
after the accident changhe corporation sent a security detail to the site of the incident, establishing a 1 kilometer perimeter. a young man dressed in changhe uniform then corrected the villager's account of the helicopter falling out of the sky and informed the reporter that it was an emergency landing.
people were wondering how the chopper would leave the rice field. a technician from the company told the reporter that the mechanical issue wasn't complicated, and that it would be repaired on the spot, after which it would simply fly out of there. however, the repair work would take 1-2 days. the reporter noted that the rice field was 20 minutes away from changhe corporation by car
as this article was being published the chopper was still being repaired.
