The thing is no one is scared about Putin nuclear stick unless he is ready to used it, but he is not ready to use it. He prefer to be humiliated and alive than to be dead with Biden. Why US should back down? They are having so much fun with this war : weakening RU military without paying any price themselves.

I find it hard to believe the crew would have abandoned ship if the damage wasn’t catastrophic.
Would they really want to tow a destroyed burnt out hulk to port for the world to gawp and laugh at?
I think there is a fair chance they will scuttle her even if she stays afloat just to save themselves that embarrassment and cover it up with some BS excuse like determining the remaining missiles and ammunition onboard were at risk of detonating at any time so not safe to tow back to port.
If it was a P700 "magazine" that detonated, i have a feeling repairing her may be wishful thinking

Who said Putin needs to use his nukes on NATO?
Finland and Sweden just offered themselves up as choice targets. If Putin nuked a remote Finish military base, would NATO be prepared to commit mass suicide to go nuclear against Russia over it?
Russian sources claimed missile compartment was untouched, don't know if they meant just the vls or both vls and P700 tubes....
