The biggest thing is that MBT at the tip end of the spear get destroyed like tin can... Up armored drone tanks could be a thing and full use of drones with multiple aspect sensors for recon before tank advance is now mandatory.
Or something like that drone launcher but in a heli mode. Have 50+ plus DJI-sized drones, in a single vehicle, equipped with various sensors and launch them to clear the way before the main column advances.

Pros of that configuration would be launch-recovery while on the move, and better loitering performance

Every problem seems to be solvable by drones at this point. What a good advertisement for the drone producers. Lack of battlefield intelligence? use drones, Enemies have too much vehicles to target? use loitering munition drones, Forest on fire? firefighting drones.

When can we see old tanks turned into drones?

The thread is going back to its drone salesman phase :p

I've no idea why the Russians haven't developed a drone tank. It would cost them nothing to convert some of the old T-72s they have in stock. The autoloader makes it even easier. One person controlling drive and the main turret, then one person operating each of the guns independently.

Have another drone above for a birds eye view.

I would fill it with concrete to soak-up half a dozen ATGM, and could carry an acoustic shot detection system turret to localize troops if you want to add up a bit of luxury. ATGM are pricy wonder weapons, very good for ambush and defending from a city. The way to counter is level the front when going forward... it's not pretty against civilians and sturctures if you want to keep the land.

A literal concrete wall on tank tracks to act as ATGM bait, not a bad idea, but I wonder how the AI for it will be developed, or will it act similar to a drone wingman that accompanies other tank.

Would the enemy create counters to it like identifying and prioritizing destroying tanks with human operators, or fooling the AI into trapping itself or misdirecting its pathway?

Concrete would weigh it down a lot though. Cage armour would probably be better, and even more suited if you don't need to think about letting soldiers in and out. Sand has excellent thermal properties and could help resist the superheated jet of a HEAT round.
Cage armour & sandbags on top IMO.

Ultimately if it's remotely operated you don't need to be as worried about protecting it like you would a normal tank.

Russians operated rovers on the moon decades ago, they should be able to develop a modern control system for a tank.
