The Brits always like to prop up Turkey as a kind of counterweight to Russia. Nothing new.
Heck, they wanted to counter the Spanish with the Turks when Elizabeth Ist was in power.

You can bet they will do the impossible to get a sale.

This deal is all about UK's defense sector, russia is not really a reason for that deal.

And if russia wasn't a threat to the west, they would have expelled Turkyie from NATO. And most likely started a war against them, or prepared to do so...nothing new here.

Turkyie plays the cards they have, and it knows the malicious intent in the west against it -- and western politician doesn't care to hide their hate anyway.
