Liar, I say this as a very close follower of the programme; there has been no such statements. This is what's been said:
"-The first plane will continue flying and fire munitions.
-Our main goal is to make the planes we call Blok10. We are manufacturing them now. There will be 6 of them.-We have 2 planes that we will use for static tests. Meanwhile, Iron Bird is coming.
-We test all systems over and over again.
-We will also fire weapons, while this work will continue.
-Domestic engine coming in 2028."
Don't you ever feel ashamed to misinform people? Whatever it is that you're doing, at least do it justice.

@Deino @siegecrossbow Could you delete aahyan's post, and maybe ban him from this thread or something? He has shown repeatedly that he clearly doesn't care about the facts and doesn't shy away from lying.

made important statements in the Perspective program he attended on Çay TV News on March 16, 2024.
  • "After Hürkuş was completed, we discussed building a 19-seater passenger plane. At that time, (SSB President) İsmail Demir wanted a jet training plane (Hürjet). The state said, let's build the jet training plane first, then let's build KAAN.
  • Hürjet is doing very well. We will give it to the Air Force as of the beginning of next year (2025). The Air Force ordered 14.
  • We produced 15 Hürkuş, now we are producing 60 more. We are manufacturing it for our Air Force. (the first) 15 (are) finished, the other 60 started. We produce 2-3 per month.
  • Gökbey's final tests are being carried out right now. We will hand it over to the Gendarmerie. 4 helicopters are being tested at the same time. One in Erzurum, one in Izmit, the others in other places. We are trying to start deliveries in the coming days. We are currently producing 2 per month.
  • We will give Atak-2 to the Air Force at the end of this year (2024).
  • We are currently making 5 Anka's a month.
  • Now we are building 3 KAANs, we will make 3 more KAANs afterwards, we are making 2 more KAAN. We will use 2 KAAN in mechanical tests, 6 KAAN will perform test flights. After that, we have the option of making 20 of them and giving them to the Air Force in 2028.
  • (T129 order) 82 for Turkey and 12 for abroad. We are about to receive another 12 orders. (Export) will be 24.
  • (T925) We are primarily building 8 fire-fighting helicopters for OGM (directorate of forestry).
  • The (national) engine project for KAAN started later than KAAN. Of course, it would have been better if it started earlier. But in 2028, the Turkish engine will be on this plane. Its (development) task has been given to TR Motor and TEI.
  • ANKA-3 is currently flying at high subsonic speed. The new version of this, the two-engined one, will exceed the speed of sound. ANKA-3 will fly together with KAAN. ANKA-3 is expendable, but KAAN is not.
  • Nationalization of the ejection seat will end no earlier than 2028.
  • ANKA-3, we have now produced the second and third (birds). We will make the delivery at the end of this year (2024) or next year (2025). We'll soon make it payload-delivering. Its engine also comes from Ukraine. TEI makes a similar engine. (TEI General Manager) Mahmut Bey says he needs a few years, but we will push him.
  • While Göktürk-1 was being built, the state had Thales establish a satellite integration center (USET) within Tusaş for approximately 100 million Euros. (Göktürk-1) had this included in the tender package. This center is one of 6 centers in the world.
  • Our wind tunnel cost 100 million USD. Europe's 2nd tunnel."

The way he speaks makes his statements uncomprehensible sometimes but these are still valuable informations nonetheless.

Can't wait for the Anka-4 twin engined supersonic combat drone! The TurAF is going to be an absolute air dominance beast with Kaan, Anka-4, Kizilelma and AEW+tanker UAVs!

In retrospect the F-35 ban is not such a bad thing after all. Without it I doubt that Turkey would have so much incentive to get a domestic fifth gen ready in such a short period of time. F-35 sale to Greece probably helped too.
I was going through older posts due to boredom and needed to make a short comment on your takeaway.

If we try to look at the positive outcomes of the ban from a technical and conceptual POV, it forced the TurAF command to rethink and reevaluate its combat requirements over the next 50 years. When they set basic requirements to come up with a concept design back in early 2010s, Turkey's threat perception was a lot closer to home and they had access to deep-strike abilities of the F-35, therefore they needed something that would supplement it with what it lacked, a more supremacy-oriented mission profile, essentially a smaller F-22.

If that ban hadn't happened; I'm of the opinion that, size and design choices-wise, the aircraft that flew would've ended up actually looking a lot like the J-35 but would be more optimized for air to air roles, i.e. a 17.5/18 meter long medium weight F-22 reincarnated if that makes sense.

And this wouldn't have met the Air Force's future needs since it demands a slightly more multirole aircraft with large bays and a long reach to be able to take off from Turkey, do CAP over Libya or Somalia, refuel and return back home.

I mean they already have an air base in Libya and since 2019 they have done somewhat regular long distance missions over Libya with short legged F-16s and KC-135s. Doing these deployments shortly after the ban made them realize that they need to have a reach anywhere within the Eastern Mediterranean, that they basically need something significantly larger than a KF-21/J-35/AMCA-sized bird.
