SSB director is giving an interview on Turkish television. Some important points:

  • There will be over 30 subsystems in the MMU. In the first stage, 5 or 6 of them are imported.
  • We expect the MMU's combat range to be slightly higher than that of the F-16.
  • The TFX will be produced with a certain number with F110 engines. There is no problem in the supply of F110 engines.
  • In the negotiations with TAEC (Kale-Rolls Royce partnership) for the domestic MMU engine, we reached a certain point in terms of keeping the intellectual property rights. In addition, TAEC wanted all the serial production rights of the engine to be theirs. We told them it would be ok on the condition that they give competitive prices, that everything is manufactured in Turkey and that they make every effort to export.
  • No one gives hot section and material technology of a turbofan even if it is joint development with RR. Turkish engineers will bear the technological burden of the engine. TEI is already testing the most critical technologies at the moment.
  • We have published TÇD (Call for Proposal File) for the MMU engine. Our TEI and TR Motor companies submitted their bids. TAEC is also giving their bid one of these days. We will evaluate them.
  • BAE system also want to work for phase 2 of TFX but we have some conditions. Even if you partner with any company, you can go to a point in critical projects. They have many projects as well.
  • We expect to fly KIZILELMA in 2023. It could be before. Baykar likes to make surprises in such matters.
  • KIZILELMA (like AKINCI) will not be uniform. It will have several types and its further studies will continue.
  • We increased Hisar-A's altitude by 2km and its range by 5km, it became Hisar-A+. We increased Hisar-O's altitude by 5km and its range by 10km. It became Hisar-O+. In other words, we are currently in a position to reach an altitude of about 15 km.
  • In Siper; It looks like we have a range of 70km, or even 100km; We will have reached an altitude of 25 km. We will commission Trench Block 0 in 2023. It will be active in Siper Block 1 and Siper Block 2 until 2025. After that, we will start the ballistic missile interception system and it'll be active in 2028.
  • We are not stopping with I-class frigate. New versions of it are being developed.
Thanks to Turan Oguz

Previously, the missile has already been tested, the result of hitting it in the photo, according to the Turkish side, the missiles are not very susceptible to the effects of most electronic warfare systems. The ground installation of the complex has four launch containers and is placed on the chassis of the Russian KamAZ (8X8). The new Atmaca rocket is subsonic and is equipped with a Safran (Turbomeca) TR140 turbojet engine and a solid rocket booster. In the future, the rocket engine will be replaced by a Turkish small-sized KALE 3500 turbojet engine. The warhead of the rocket is a high-explosive fragmentation unit weighing 250 kg. The missile is equipped with an active radar seeker, as well as an inertial satellite guidance unit and two-way data transmission equipment. During the flight, the missile can be given new targets to hit. The missile range is 250 kilometers, weight -750 kg. Rocket length from 4.3 - 5.2 m.
