E85ZVhbXMAEod7p

  • Atmaca land version has an IIR seeker which is a Roketsan product.
  • New close air defense system called 'Levent', based on Sungur MANPADS. Levent will have two versions, one with autonomous mission capability. Like Sungur RAM, the range has been increased and the RF passive seeker has been added.
  • Sungur is currently being delivered to the armed forces.
  • Akya heavy-weight torpedo will be delivered at the end of the year.
  • Laçin man-in-the-loop weapon system will be exhibited for the first time at IDEF Fair. Fire test was successfully carried out from an F-16.
  • The recently tested MAM-T is also at IDEF. It has pinpoint hit capability with a range of up to 30km. It is laser guided, but different guided versions are also being developed.
  • A laser-guided 1km range mini smart missile has been developed and will be available soon.
  • For the first time, the TRG230 was successfully used by the Azerbaijani army (during the Karabag war).
  • Network-based NEC capability has been added to ALKA (anti-drone laser system). Engagement of two or three separate ALKA's on the same target will be enabled.
  • The MDAS hot launch VLS system matches the TCG ISTANBUL delivery schedule, no delays. Negotiations continue with the navy on which missiles can be launched.
  • OMFG (MR-AShM) is a light missile that can be air launched and used against lightly armored ships. Both Kale and TEI are developing the engine to power it.

Pictures of the Levent system:

It uses two different missiles, lower is Sungur (IIR) and upper is a newer missile with passive RF seeker and increased range (CLOS?). Total of 21 missiles can be carried.

Behind the Levent system on the right image you can see the 6 cell TR(L)G-230 pod and to the left a 12 cell TR(L)G-122 pod on what seems to be a Kamaz chassis.

Yesterday, with the launch of the first PN Milgem corvette, the presidents of Pakistan and Turkey both cut the steel of the first OPV project (Acik Deniz Karakol Gemisi). According to the Turkish President, 10 will be build. It'll be unveiled at IDEF. The first ship is stated to be 'delivered' in May 2023.

Some people who have already seen the design have fallen in love with it, so expectations are high :D

Btw, the range of the land attack version of Atmaca is 280km according to Roketsan. It is also longer and heavier than the original Atmaca.

There are some other systems made by Roketsan that are still secret for now according to the CEO. A kamikaze drone (Harpy/Harop equivalent) developed by Vestel named Kargi which uses the TEI PG-50 engine is still a secret. A defense journalist has seen a video of the first flight of a prototype at the previous IDEF fair in 2019. We know the drone is under serial production for some time now because the engine is in series production. Unfortunately, Vestel is not present at IDEF this year .

The Kuzgun-TJ (245km) will use an engine made by a Turkish company which will be present at IDEF. We will know more about it starting from tomorrow. My guess is Idealab which I shared a twitterlink somewhere above.

IDEF '23 will be the real deal.
