Hmm, maybe the 2023 airframe would be more of a tech demonstrator, a la YF-22/X-2 Shinshin? It flies a couple times in 2024-25 for PR/avionics validation reasons, and then gets shuffled off to perform flights for manned/unmanned R&D + testing, while the 2025+ airframes do the vast majority of the flight testing.

As for the engine, wouldn't the first several dozen or so TFXs use foreign engines until the domestic version becomes available in the mid 2030s?
Not likely, the same ppt says "first flight in 2026 after Block 0 delivery in 2025". If the 2023 airframe flys, the 2026 flight is certainly not first.

In 2023 NOTHING will fly ... the thing being rolled out in 2023 will be not a flying prototype but simply a mock up. Most likely only to fool the masses for this national event!

BAYRAKTAR AKINCI UCAV FLEW FOR 13 HOURS 24 MINUTES WITH 1,360 KG PAYLOAD

Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA (Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), which was developed nationally and originally by BAYKAR, flew for 13 hours and 24 minutes with a total payload of 3000 lb (1,360 kg) in front of official delegations.

Within the scope of the project carried out under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV (Assault Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), developed by BAYKAR with domestic and national resources, is developing its capabilities step by step.

Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV took off with a payload of 3000 lb (1,360 kg) in the flight it made in the presence of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and official delegations of the user forces as part of the ongoing design verification activities in Çorlu.

AKINCI, whose take-off weight exceeded 6 tons (6,049 kg), showed a strong performance with a payload close to full load and rose to an altitude of 30,000 feet (9.144 meters). In the flight that took place on Friday, July 9, 2021, AKINCI took off with the NEB (Penetrating Bomb) developed locally by TÜBİTAK SAGE under the fuselage, and stayed in the air for 13 hours and 24 minutes on this flight.

Bayraktar AKINCI broke the altitude record in Turkish aviation history by climbing to an altitude of 38,039 feet (11,594 meters) in his flight that took 25 hours and 46 minutes on July 8, 2021.

AKINCI, which has made 874 sorties in test and training flights to date, hit the targets with full hits with the warhead smart ammunitions MAM-C, MAM-L and MAM-T, developed nationally by Roketsan, in the firing test carried out on July 5, 2021.

The TS1400 turboshaft engine was confirmed to be using Turkish manufactured single-crystal blades multiple times. Some of the first blades were delivered with a public ceremony.
If that is correct then congrats. Though still far away from jet engines, capability to manufacture these of it's own can put it onto road of self sufficiency.

Yes it is true. Turkey also supplies turbine blades for the engines of the Blackhawk too. It can also manufacture ceramic combustion chamber liners.

Turkey soon to begin mass production of HİSAR-O+ air defence system

Turkey’s HISAR-O+ medium altitude air defence system has reached the stage of mass production, the country’s Presidency of Defence Industries said on Monday.

“Mass production agreement of HISAR-O+ has been signed with our Presidency and business partnership between ASELSAN-Roketsan. The deliveries under the contract are planned to be realized by 2024”, the presidency said on Twitter.

The announcement came after Ismail Demir, President of Defence Industries, heralded that the country’s first domestic HISAR A+ short altitude air defence missile system has been delivered with all elements to the country’s armed forces, and HISAR O+ destroyed a high-speed target at long range and high altitude.
