BAYRAKTAR AKINCI UCAV FLEW FOR 13 HOURS 24 MINUTES WITH 1,360 KG PAYLOAD
Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA (Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), which was developed nationally and originally by BAYKAR, flew for 13 hours and 24 minutes with a total payload of 3000 lb (1,360 kg) in front of official delegations.
Within the scope of the project carried out under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV (Assault Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), developed by BAYKAR with domestic and national resources, is developing its capabilities step by step.
Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV took off with a payload of 3000 lb (1,360 kg) in the flight it made in the presence of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and official delegations of the user forces as part of the ongoing design verification activities in Çorlu.
AKINCI,
whose take-off weight exceeded 6 tons (6,049 kg), showed a strong performance with a payload close to full load and rose to an altitude of 30,000 feet (9.144 meters). In the flight that took place on Friday, July 9, 2021, AKINCI took off with the NEB (Penetrating Bomb) developed locally by TÜBİTAK SAGE under the fuselage, and stayed in the air for 13 hours and 24 minutes on this flight.
Bayraktar AKINCI broke the altitude record in Turkish aviation history by climbing to an altitude of 38,039 feet (11,594 meters) in his flight that took 25 hours and 46 minutes on July 8, 2021.
AKINCI, which has made 874 sorties in test and training flights to date, hit the targets with full hits with the warhead smart ammunitions MAM-C, MAM-L and MAM-T, developed nationally by Roketsan, in the firing test carried out on July 5, 2021.
