China's RE control is very much sustainable, infact 100% tariff is sustainable for China too, so it looks like we're at an impass: what concession will China demand in order to allow Trump to dtop the tariff?

i refuse to believe that appearance of people is a fundemental issue. Before modern „racial“ politics by Europeans were introduced, culture was the defining charachteristic for solidarity. Back then people didn‘t make so much of a fuss about appearance. Also am I to believe that a white dude from the US has more in common with a Romanian than his black neighbor?
its not just latinos. think about the selection pressure for law-abiding, and therefore "model", immigrants. you're rewarding people who operate under the assumption that the governing framework can be trusted at face value and punishing those who don't. so when trump campaigns on the words: "we'll get rid of illegals", legal immigrants will naturally believe that the differentiation between legal and illegal will be an inviolable shield for them. especially because they're immigrants, they will feel even more obligated to demonstrate faith in the law, and so you get plus royalistes que la roi zealotry.
and obviously, lawful immigrants are more likely to have conservative outlooks; conformity to government is echoed by conformity to tradition and religion. even those who don't like trump himself were going to find themselves having a difficult time to escaping his camp just by virtue of adjacent issues of sexual deviancy or drug control without any major violations of trust -- which was concealed enough before his entering office.
