They are both very happy to have reached a mutually beneficial agreement, that's a real handshake between two Gentlemen, those smiles are real, and they will "firm up" this temporary agreement to everybody's advantage!

As I have stated in the past, President Trump and President Xi would reach an agreement, it will come sooner rather than later...

As for ignorant people posting ignorant krap about "rotten soybeans", that's complete stupidity.... yes it was a little painful for American farmers through the harvest season, but the truth is the "soybean prices" "softened" and dropped a couple of bucks per bushel! The Chinese were definitely hurting without those beautiful, healthy American Soybeans, and they will be buying more in the very immediate future, that will drive the price of Soybeans up!

So all the lies and innuendo are just that, people talking out their butt, about things they know nothing about, soybeans are very adaptable, and the US is a huge innovator in biofuels, though it would be a terrible shame to waste the highest quality, highest protean beans on the planet to make fuel...

The truth is that American agricultural innovation has driven soybean production per acre through the roof, and American farmers feed the world, rampant hunger and starvation such as that which occurred in China in the late 50's and early 60's has been nearly driven off the planet....

and yes, we do have a small family farm, and we're proud of it....

Pork production is at an all time high as well, in response to very heavy Chinese demand for the "other white meat"!
Well I see you've went into full old man imagination mode again in these 2 posts. Nothing that you said has happened. There's no other way to put it. You're delusional. And the sad part is you claim to own a farm but you don't know anything about soybeans. That's sad, dude. Here, proof of your ignorance. American soybeans are rotting without buyers and I do not find any articles about a Chinese famine. That shows you the who needs whom in this relationship, quite different from your fantasy of China needing Americans to "feed" them.

Crops are rotting in fields as Trump's trade war bites US farmers
  • American farmers are struggling to sell their products as tariffs introduced during the trade war between Washington and Beijing stifle demand.
  • In certain states, farmers are being forced into plowing their crops under — effectively burying them under soil in fields — as there is simply not enough storage room in storage facilities.
  • The problem is most acute for soybean farmers, as China generally buys about 60% of US soybeans but has basically stopped purchases since tariffs began.
In Louisiana, as much as 15% of this year's soybean crop has been plowed under or is too damaged to sell, according to data analyzed by Louisiana State University staff and cited by Reuters.
President Trump is Pro-Life,, he's not a hateful murderous thug, as those you were defending,, and our troops will absolutely defend themselves and their fellow Americans,,, but unlike others in the world, they aren't murderous thugs either, employing non-lethal means to defend the border against an illegal and immoral invasion... thousands of people lied to and mislead to leave their own country by liars, placing innocent women and children at the front, endangering their health and well being to be used as "human pawns" by their lying leftist users...

No other Nation on the planet has done more for the enslaved and downtrodden, and that will not change. There's little doubt that President Trump has the love and respect of millions of Americans because he is doing exactly what he said he would do, and China is adjusting their trade practices to respond to Mr. Trump's honest concerns... and America in turn will adjust our trade practices as requested by President Xi, to benefit the Chinese people, and make sure they don't go hungry!

and that is the truth, we care about people, we honestly care about the world around us, and wish to trade in a free and fair manner!
That's not what pro-life means, Brat. You're making up words and imagining definitions like Trump does. You say he's not a hateful murderous thug... but that's literally his reputation in the US. He wants to kill immigrants for coming in, ordered children to be caged and maced, and he breaks laws all the time. That's literally the definition of a thug; as for "murderous" he has outwardly expressed the desire to be but when he was young, he was thwarted by his "bone spurs" and now, he's thwarted by America's checks and balances. Mao Zedong had and still has far more approval from his people than Trump will ever have, and Mao was thuggy, but in a lovable way. Trump's thuggy in a his-people-would-rather-see-NK-or-China-win-than-him kinda way. That's just sad leadership how unlikable he is by such a huge portion of the population. And you're right, millions of angry hateful people love him... in a population of 330 million, where the majority did not vote for him and many more want him in jail. That's just the truth.

And no other nation in modern history has ever killed so many innocent civilians in foreign countries as the US has either. The US doesn't do anyone a favor; it only uses aid to buy obedience from the countries unfortunate enough to need it. The US is a global oppressor and exploiter, not even a true policeman as some people complain. But this behavior won't work on China; we will do as we always do in trade, whether it be by law or by action only. The US deserves to finally meet a force like this instead of one it can poison and bury like it did to the Japanese economy.

the Chinese will be buying a hell of a lot of soybeans, and NO, they're not rotten, and NO they did not get plowed under, if you actually read your report, many of those beans were damaged, if you knew a damn thing about agriculture, you would know that farming is the biggest gamble on the planet...
Central Obamastan, Indiana, Iowa,, are the largest soybean producers in the country, and thankfully we have a beautiful crop, and abundant crop, loaded and rolling down the Mississippi,

raising any grain crop in the South is tough, lots of tough soils and sporadic rain, in addition soybeans are threated by diseases, bugs, and weeds...

I'm afraid your Trump Derangement Syndrome is terminal LOL

"Will be?" LOL Stating an imaginary future as fact again, are we? Cute, that's what people do when they can't handle what's going on now so they imagine a future that goes their way. That appeals to them because no one can disprove a theoretical future with evidence yet haha

Yes, I read the article. Are you proficient in English? The title says, "rotting." Are you unfamiliar with the word, hmm, farmer? Oh, but you say they were, "damaged"? What do you think damaged them? Were they trampled by elephants or thrown down a cliff? Burned, perhaps? No, they were damaged by rot, which is what happens when you leave them outside to the elements because you can't sell them. Is that logic so hard? Did you really have to try that mental contortion to escape the word, "rotting" put in bold in the title? "Sad" LOL
I'm afraid your Trump Derangement Syndrome is terminal LOL
Awww, what's the matter, you called other people's leaders murderous thugs and now you can't handle it when they use facts to prove that your president's the actual thug murderous wannabe? I read these facts in YOUR media. I didn't make it up, you're just too scared of the truth to actually confront the facts, which is very normal for staunch Trump supporters. You can't rebut anything because there is no rebuttal to facts, but you just like him and he's "great" in your mind, because he embodies your angry inner self.

while I wish it's true what you said, but Brother I generally don't pay attention to 'body language' as it can be faked relatively easily

LOL I'm a chess player and very old tricks are for example
  1. to stare at queen side when you're in trouble, or preparing to hit, at king side;
  2. to move pieces in a confident way, with delight LOL! once you've realized your plan is flawed (or, of course, if you're bluffing);
  3. put your hands around the head, looking desperate, while setting up a trap;
etc. etc., actually #1 is more dangerous than it might seem, even to club players;
what I personally do is to try look only at the chessboard and the cloak ('don't play the guy, but the pieces')

welcome to
Trade War with China
anyway

I don't think Trump is a good chess player :( , but of course he would say that he would have beaten Kasparov as he has a big brain and very high IQ ;) ... I read somewhere that Xi is a respectable Go player

just to finish with chess here LOL it only marginally (if at all) helps people at what they do, and how they fare, in their real life

(and I personally know several dozen chess players including for example financiers; programmers; teachers; waiters; drivers; even homeless :-(

it's just a game LOL as I noticed while playing for pocket money at for example Harvard Sq., Boston, Mass.; Nyugati Palyaudvar, Budapest, Hungary; Cismigiu Park, Bucharest, Romania

actually I'm still thinking what does this tweet is supposed to mean (from what I've figured at US military servers now, I'm not the only once who's surprised):

I am certain that, at some time in the future, President Xi and I, together with President Putin of Russia, will start talking about a meaningful halt to what has become a major and uncontrollable Arms Race. The U.S. spent 716 Billion Dollars this year. Crazy!

A couple of bucks per bushel only----out of 10 dollars per bushel happens to be a horrific 20% decline in prices per bushel.

As for highest quality soybean...

2017 showed a collapse in the protein content of American soybean.

While the Brazil soybean has higher protein content. Chinese buyers were already shifting buying to the Brazilian bean even before the trade war and the tariffs.

U.S. soybean growers are losing market share in the all-important China market because the race to grow higher-yielding crops has robbed their most prized nutrient: protein.

Declining protein levels make soybeans less valuable to the $400 billion industry that produces feed for cattle, pigs, chickens and fish. And the problem is a key factor driving soybean buyers from the U.S. to Brazil, where warmer weather helps offset the impact of higher crop yields on protein levels.

Seed developers have had great success boosting yields through traditional breeding methods and genetic engineering to make crops use less water, tolerate weed killers and grow better in colder or drier climates. But they have yet to crack the genetic code that would raise protein content without hurting yield, seed breeders said.

Brazilian soybean producers use the same genetically modified seeds as their U.S. counterparts, and have also seen a reduction in protein content.

But Brazilian growers retain an crucial edge in protein thanks to warmer weather and longer days. The nation’s soybeans contain 37 percent protein on average, according to data from Embrapa, the government’s agriculture research agency.

That compares to 34.1 percent for U.S. crops in 2017 – a record low, according to the U.S. Soybean Export Council.

Just out of curiosity. How exactly has your life and those around you improved from Obama to Trump. Because to me it looks like they are pretty much doing the same things.
