Popeye, you are on the mark.

1) Woo Hoo girls… Is this some desperate call for attention? Or is it just the mating call of the North American college girl?

...

Thanks I feel better now.

PS: I won’t hug you when I meet you.

I will now get back to bottling my Malbec

Things that make me angry...

The pussification of America. Everyone thinks they are entitled to stuff like free money and complain about the people who work and make money for a living.

People who don't discipline their kids, and give their kids everything they want turning them into spoiled pieces. (these next few generations are going to be the worst ever)

People who don't discipline their dogs. If your dog jumps on me when I enter their house and thinks it can walk all over me like they do their owner. I will discipline it myself.

People who want everything to be politically correct.

People who does something like vegan diet or don't drink alcohol, it's fine that you do that, but DO NOT impose that on me and try to make me feel bad because I like to have a good time drinking and eat meat. This goes for anything like eating organic, driving green cars, being liberal etc.

I hate change except when it comes to food. I am a foodie.

Bad drivers this has already been mentioned above I won't go into detail.

Thank you Bernard for reminding me of a couple of things!

1) I to have noticed that men are more concerned with how they dress, use skin cream and get plastic surgery to look younger. What the h@$l is up with that!!!! Men have to men. Responsible, hard working and take care of their family. That is what being a patriarch is all about.

2) Undisciplined children. What can I say… people today are creating a new generation of overprotected and spoiled children that will expect the government to take care of them and give them everything. In other words “good little socialists”. I reminds me of a quote from P.J. O’Rourke:

“At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child — miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosophy of sniveling brats.”

3) Political correction is now a worldwide infirmity. If you say something that is not politically correct you are minimalized and labeled an insulting term (take you pick ignorant, religious zealot, Nazi, etc….). All I have to say is “just because you are offended does not negate the truth”.

4) A few months ago we ate at a vegetarian restaurant and asked the waitress about the nutritional value of the food and if it was healthier. She replied “Yes eating vegetarian is so healthy and you have to be careful since your body is a temple, bla bla bla….” We then saw her smoking a cigarette outside on her break. So much for the temple….

I'm starting to feel much better now......

Joggers who jaywalk without so much as looking to see if there is oncoming traffic, especially when wearing headphones/earbuds. I wish more people will honk at them if not outright run them over, in which case it would legally be the jogger's fault anyways.

This is tangentially related to what I call the "soft whoring" of America which others have mentioned, I think a lot of drivers allow these joggers to behave this way without protest just because they tend to be scantily clad and fit women and men.

In San Francisco bike riders (not motor) think they own the streets. They follow no rules of the road and will get nasty if you're in a car and honk at them as if you're the one who committed the wrong. They also have killed pedestrians many acting like it was nothing. Their attitude comes from believing they're more conscious for not driving a car but their callousness at killing pedestrians says otherwise.

Those are the types who feel they have done "their good deed of the day" by being on the bike..and of course as if only need to do one good deed and that paves excuses for being selfish.

My pet peeves:

(agreed with most of those driving ones)
a. People who make a left turn in front of your lane and then go 20-40 in a 50 zone. I personally have minimal patience for people going under speed limit because BC speed limits aren't fast to begin with. If you're going at 40 at a 50 zone, I register a 8/10 on an anger scale, but if you're going 50 in a 50 zone, my anger scale is 0/10. (and going 45 in a 50 zone will result in me registering a 6/10)
b. Backseat drivers. Since cognitively speaking all my focus is on the road and my driving, I have no emotional control reserved for people who says stupid things and comments on the driving continuously.

1. Who pretends to be experts on something they don't know
2. People who blame others when they're the ones who are wrong
3. Unsympathetic/Inconsiderate people who always asks condemnatory questions and as if you knew the future already.
example: A: "i got hit by a car" B: "why didn't you let it pass first?" (assumption in B's statement is assuming A knows he will get hit by the car but chose to not avoid it, and also that A didn't let it pass first)
4. Spoiled rich people who flaunts their riches all day by deliberately talking about it.
5. People who thinks they are still right after you tried explaining something to them a billion times. Met some person on Youtube and we argued for a week.
6. People who makes insulting remarks and thinks that's cute. Two days ago my friend literally said I can't drive while I was driving. I don't know why I didn't snap at that person at all.
7. Guys that are touchy to girls. Even though I'm not a girl, I still think that's very rude and very disrespectful of a person because that demonstrates that person don't consider other's rights to their own personal space and rights not to be touched.
8. Girls who are excessively stupid because all their mental capacity went to looking pretty.
9. People who make stupid assumptions or become too sinister(When I was in high school I had a classmate come over to work on something. I was going upstairs to get myself some drinks, and my brother asked me to help him get a cup of it. I came back with one for him, and my high school friend "thinks" I'm letting my brother "push me around". That's still probably one of the weirdest things I think anyone can reason as)
10. Girls who actively engage in an inappropriate guy which then attract trouble. I don't think the guy should ever act stupidly, but can the girl please not help create a situation? I've been in situation where of course I'm forced to protect/defend them and I don't mind that because it's the right thing to do, but I feel those troubles could've been avoided.

And my biggest one:

11. Rude bus drivers and buses that takes forever to show up. And when they do, either you're officially too late to arrive where you wanna go, or they show up in 3 buses.

Some of my pet peeves, not in specific order-
  • The lame stream media
  • Race baiters
  • Intellectual bleeding hearts
  • Ivory Tower liberals
  • Public employee unions

Bus entries shown on the electronic signage as meant to arrive soon then simply disappears.

People who are conditioned to only their points of view. Their opinions are influenced by their narrow-minded politics or fanatical religious beliefs. They don't analyze serious situations carefully, or consider contrary points of view and opinions. These kinds of people lack intellectual maturity and often bother others.
