It is just the angle that makes it look like that. It didn't turn back to the launching point, but rather left and down and hit somewhere towards the cameraman.

Given the number of smoke trails, isn't it more likely an MLRS?

Well MLRS rocket doesnt turn. It can only be from a missile system and its definitely SAM's.

Also the missile did hit ground if you see the explosion and following smoke.

Or captured intact. Then hopefully, another An-22 would carry it to China for study and reverse-engineering.
Suppose the two CAESAR capture is true I bet it's because Russians just straight up paid cash for them. In which case Putin is sending a message that he's got his inside man in Ukraine and can buy anything he wants.

Don't believe that you could buy CAESAR with cold hard cash? Russians are buying AGTMs from Ukrainians with cans of food:

I wonder if it's worth it for PLAGF to get their hands on one of the CAESAR.

Amusing they aren’t posted here anymore compared to a couple month ago. “Fair Analysis.”

I wonder what is next after the Donbas region is cleaned up. Karkhiv or zaporizhzhia is probably next on the list
